Multiple categories = duplicate content?

If on my Amazon site I list an item under multiple categories, would that be seen as duplicate content?
Thanks.

    Yes it would.

To prevent that you should use an SEO plugin that allows you to nofollow/noindex all categories or specific categories ...assuming you're using Wordpress. The same goes for the Author, Tags and Date archives.

I recommend Wordpress SEO. Its free, but I'd gladly pay for it.

Wordpress template system is useful though for getting long tail searches - especially the tag archive. So what I do is allow the category and tag pages to be indexed, but I change them up so they are a bit more unique. For example, my category archive might only the Title of the post, while my Tag archive would have the Title + The Excerpt + the first image of the post.

I've seen some sites who put post in multiple categories dinged for duplicate content while others do not. I would definitely noindex categories or follow the advice above.
