Advice needed in Health and Wellness Niche

I am looking at this niche as an affiliate marketer but I'm worried about the safety of products I would be promoting. Is there anyone in this niche who could give me advice on the best ways to use 'due diligence'.

I want to ensure that any products I promote are fully approved by any regulated bodies and that I'm not placing myself in a position for being sued for one reason or another.

Is there a systematic way to do this.

Promote stuffs that are safe. For example, food supplements. Promote products from reputed companies. All the best.

My advice is to make sure you use a well-worded disclaimer on your pitch pages, in your ebooks etc.

My main niche is the health/fitness/wellness niche. Adding to what others have said, it's important not to promote crap products and in this health arena, unfortunately there is a ton of crap.

Anytime I find a potential product I think would be valuable to promote I always search for forums to get unbiased reviews. I also do a quick check at Amazon also to see what the discussion is there. If all good, then I will promote.

You could get into trouble for promoting bad products so only stick with those that have great reviews. Additionally, treat carefully when it comes to any pharmaceutical products or do as I do and stay away from them altogether.

      Hope that helps

I agree with the others comments. I also have sites in the health and wellness niche.

I have a strong disclaimer. When including articles, I make sure they use words like ...may help, could potentially work - that type of thing. I do not promise results.

Be sure to select your products with care. Get ones that provide genuine value to the consumer.

Watch out for rebill products that scam consumers. I am ranked no. 1 for a very popular health supplement keyword. I could be making a mint using rebill CPA offers but instead I send consumers to Amazon for a quality product.

Read the fine print on CPA offers. Many offer trials but over charge customers for shipping etc.

Stay on top of the health niche you are in, so you can share the latest innovations. This will help you make money and keep your readers informed.

  • Have a well worded and easy to understand TOS, terms of service. Also, ask yourself, and maybe someone else you work with for opinions. People will inheriently research an item and base there own conclusion, but to do your 'due deligence' and to out do the others out there in customer service, and product quality, will put you ahead of the pact all day long.

My main niche is mental health.

I only promote my own ebooks to my lists because I’m afraid of other products, which I don’t know if I should trust.

I promote Amazon products only at the Squidoo lenses I create to mainly promote my ebooks.

The health and wellness products you find at Amazon seem to be safe and the public trusts Amazon.

    Joe,

I'm in agreement with Alex. Read bodybuilding forums and generally try to broach communities with a highly experimental culture that will give you a lot of data to base your decisions on.

Always use a disclaimer so you are sure that you are not liable and don't sell cr*p!
Just promote legitimate products and you'll be fine.

You are talking my niche! Personally I would NEVER promote a product that I have not purchased and personally tried.

There is a ton of dangerous crap health and fitness products on the market written by people that don't have a clue what they are doing.

First check the credentials of the product creator. If the person is not an expert or at least certified in some way to teach the method, program etc... Don't promote it.

Buy and try the product or program. Does it make sense to you? Does it actually work? Would you recommend it to a loved one? Your answer to these questions will give you the answer if you should promote it or not.
