How To Build A Succesful FB Page . This Is How You Can Do It

So you have already built your Facebook page, everything is done and ready, and your FB page is open for biz. What's next?

First thing first- you got to build your fans

If you ask me- you should pay some money to get a base of LIKES. Maybe about 2k-3k people. A page that has 23 likes looks rather lonely compared to a page that has 3000 likes. The more LIKES you have, the reputable it looks.

You can do this in many ways to start:
--Pay FB Ads
--Do paid promo. Example: Do a competition, upload their pics to your page, and the winner is determined on the number of LIKES the page has..
--Cross promo in other related FB page. How? Just join other bigger FB page, and comment there under you FB page profile. People who read those comments will click to yours.

Get their interest

Then, start a viral campaign to get others to LIKE your page naturally and to get it going all the time. Getting fans are just one criteria, the next one is maintaining their interest.

Upload pictures, videos, do contest, link it from your page etc.
Example: LIVE CHAT on a specific topic where people can drop in to ask questions that will be answered LIVE. For that, they need to click LIKE and join. You can do this once every week with different people :-)

Get this going regularly to build a interest among the community. At least, for the first month - you need to work out something interesting to give away every 2-3 days.

Once you have that- you can start your promo slowly.
Let me give you some ideas on how to make your promos interesting.

Build a event around it.

An Idea:

Let's just say you are running a photography website and you have photo related products.. (I don't know, I am just sayin')

Create a "photo-thon" where people are called to a certain location to photograph unique locations, unique places, models, cars or whatsover. Sell your products there, and ask whoever who attend to upload the pics to your page/or link to it. This will create a "active community" perception and others will start joining.

Second Idea:

Lets just say you run a restaurant.

Give away a random "starter" coupon every single day to ONE lucky person and announce it in the page. Allow them to invite someone else to come, or pass the coupon around.

When the customer visits-take a pic, or a video and upload to your FB.

So, there you go. A short course on how to start, manage and make your FB fanpage a success.

The end

I've run FB ads in a couple of different ways.

If you want to get clicks - these days 75 cents to 1 dollar is normal with a decent ad. Just be sure to have a good CTA in your ad to get that click.

A second - and less known way that I've used FB ads is for "Branding."

Lets say I have a new product I want to promote. First thing I do is get some graphics made. Then I run Image ads that get me lots of impressions but no clicks. I use the ads to get the graphics in front of people - which builds some brand credibility.

Then when they see the same graphics on discussions - they're more likely to interact.

...hope I didn't go over board there, but there just aren't anough good Facebook discussions in here yet.

Well, now that you have mention this- another cool trick this can be used for is to get JV Partners.. Just target "friends of X" that you know are a bunch of marketers, and run the ad for a week.

Then, pop the JV request and see what happens .

How do you set up a FB page that is separate from your personal one? For example: a business page.

I would also recommend doing a contest or promo with wildfire app.

Don't just do a status update on your fb page with a sentence or 2 of your promo/contest, make it look professional with a promo app like wildfire

I don't need this info yet.. but in the future it could be incredibly useful.
