Do you promote clickbank product that has an auto-responder on its sales page? I don't know if it's okay promoting a product that will collect visitors I send their details and denies me my commission. What do you think?

I think you mean an "opt-in"?

No, I don't. And almost no serious ClickBank affiliate does.

And a huge number of us give our reasons in great detail and at great length in this exhaustive thread discussing the subject.

I think many do not. But, you can sign up for the list for while and see what is being promoted through the emails. Is the marketer promoting his product throughly enough to increase conversions? Or is he busy promoting mostly other's people's products and scooping in profits from his own affiliate marketing efforts.

I don't particularly like it because I can't create my own list as easily, however just sign-up through your affiliate link and click on the email links to see if you are still getting credit for the sales on the order page. (Just scroll down to bottom of the order page to see what it says for affiliate). If the emails are still holding your affiliate link in place then you should be happy that the product owner is emailing them to help you get more sales!

  • There are those affiliates that use Clickbank to pull traffic then redirect to other offers. You won't make any money from them.

However as I read your post I'm also thinking about Affiliates who grab an email then send out more of their own sales material. This is not necessarily a bad thing as long as the cookie is set.

So it really depends on the situation.

Your job as an affiliate is to follow the process through from start to finish to make sure you are not getting used.

Sign up for whatever pops up so you can see what the offer is and if you'll be getting credit for the sale or not.

A fallacy here, I'm afraid - this doesn't work: doing this does not necessarily tell you whether or not you'll get credit for the subsequent sales (or for what proportion of them). It's like seeing one brown cow in Scotland on one occasion and saying "All the cows in Scotland must be brown".

      For many reasons.

All of them are explained in detail in the longer thread linked to above.

The reason for not promoting a product with an opt-in is due to the possibility of not getting credit for your presale effort. If your directed traffic simply opts in to the vendor’s list, you are unlikely to get any credit for the sale down the line.
