What is the question? You are not being clear. Something about a video that made you literally vomit?

It's not exactly clear what is making you "sick" but if you are having a problem with ethical marketing and your alarm bells are ringing, then simply find another niche. There are millions for you to choose from. Don't blind yourself from them and focus only on the wealth without any ethical consideration.

    lol Bill.

As for the ethics part, if your niche is something so disgusting that it makes YOU vomit, how do you think everyone else is going to feel when THEY see it?

It would most likely give them an impulse to vomit.. Not inspire them to whip out their credit cards.. haha

If you can't feel comfortable in a niche, you will probably find it hard to force yourself to do the work necessary to become successful in the niche.

Move onto something that gives you a buzz to promote. You will find you will produce a lot more.

Simple answer: If you feel uncomfortable promoting the niche don't do it!

There is plenty of money in bank robbing or scam life insurance policies but if it feels wrong to YOU find something else...

I don't promote anything which I wouldn't want to promote to my parents (who opt in to all my lists - but if they didn't, I'd pretend they were doing so, anyway).

I agree with the others - ethics first. If you feel at odds with yourself, it's just not worth it. There are so many other ways and niches. Good luck!

I would say that your ethics play a big role in business. For those who have zero ethics, I'm sure they make a helluva lot of money--but then have to live with those facts the rest of their lives.

Back in July I saw a poster here who was offering a program on how to create adult niche sites. I bought in and built them for a couple of weeks. They ranked really good and I actually made quite a bit of money. More than my mainstream sites you could say.

That said, last month I got rid of all them. I didn't sell them. I simply removed them from my server and redirected the name servers. At the end of the day I just couldn't sit here and make money from that content. I don't know why, it just wasn't for me.

So I turned down quite a bit of money because I just couldn't do something. I'm sure someone will chime in and say I was leaving money on the table--that is fine. Different strokes (no pun intended) for different folks.

marketing is 50 percent of the time unetical just like politics (becaus al lot of products dont do what they promise or marketers do promiss a lot of things that wont come true like the magic wheigt loss pills, survey sites) you sell the dream its unetical but there is a market for .

if you dont find it confortable to promote some thing dont but keep in mind a lot of these people that buy the product will buy it any way from someone else . ethics are for every body diferent it al depend on you point of view

In my opinion that is a very ignorant statement. There is a lot more things you can promote that have absolutely nothing to do with the niches you mentioned.

One of my biggest niches is shoes. How am I being unethical there? I am providing a customer with exactly what they are looking for, and not stating anything false about that product.

There is probably 50 MILLION physical products that one could promote, and it would be FAR from unethical. Broaden your horizons a bit.

Then I suppose you have never seen a beer commercial. Or a commercial for an acne cream. Or an ad for whitening toothpaste.

        Let me enlighten you....

Beer will not make you more attractive to the opposite sex or give you more friends. The product is based on a dangerous substance called "alcohol". Alcohol is highly addictive and very poisonous. It impairs judgement and motor skills. It is also detrimental to general health and can cause death if consumed in large quantities.

Topical creams that cure acne do not exist. A cream that produces positive effects on some people will have no effect on others. Most creams treat some symptoms such as surface oil on the skin or general grime, but they do not "penetrate to get to the root of the problem". The actual causes of acne can be quite different between people depending on many factors that cannot be addressed by a simple topical cream.

The natural colour of teeth is NOT white. Each person has their own natural tooth colour of varying shades. Whitening toothpastes do not produce the dramatic visible results shown in ads because the actual colour of your teeth may not be the "white" that you desire. Using harsh chemicals and bleaches on teeth can actually damage the enamel so while you may think your teeth "appear" whiter, they may actually be weaker and less healthy than they were before you started using the products.

          Ethics should come first.

However, I agree that 97% of what people buy is completely unnecessary.

They are great to have but, come on if you call McDonalds food even though it IS poison... then the line instantly becomes blurred.

Nobody NEEDS a 52"TV, or over 200 channels on their satellite dish.

It's all about perception. In an honest world fast food and tobacco would be banned.

People get upset about health care policies... Can you imagine the riots if fried chicken, pizza, and burgers were banned?

AlwaysAwa, if you have ethical questions about promoting something, it really doesn't matter how many other opinions you get. If something feels wrong to you, pass it by. You'll sleep better.

Chall V., do you know why they've started using politicians in lab research? Because there are some things lab rats just won't do...
