Touch my Squidoo, please!

Hey Warriors,

I'm doing some deep covert research with Squidoo pages.
I'm testing with keywords and different niches and Google rankings.

So, I wanted to chech here and see if anyone has had any sort of success using Squidoo pages. I always see these pages listed in the top pages of Google so I know that it could be a good place to do affiliate marketing,, as usual,, if you can rank for the right keywords. But, I just wanted to see what you all have to say.

    I don't really know where my Squidoo visitors are coming from, but I do get a decent amount of hits on my lenses...especially seeing I haven't really made any changes to the majority of them in quite some time.

    I still see them often in Google search results and although mine haven't ranked first page (that I know of!) I do get traffic to them and as a result, traffic to my money page. It doesn't take too long to set-up a great lens so I try to do at least one every time I get a new product created.

      How long did it take to see results?
      Did you "share" on squidoo?
      And, do you know if you're ranking high in Google?

    Hi,

    I am going to post what my experience has been so far with Squidoo. I currently have 4 lenses in 4 different niches. I built them originally as a way to channel more traffic to my websites.

    I based each of my lenses on the same niche as one of my websites, and had a few linkbacks to my main website. I figured that way if my lenses did not make me any money, they would at least possibly be a source of traffic and backlinks.

    Well, so far I have not gotten any earnings off of them, but I also did not spend any money on them, and not a whole lot of time, after the initial building. They do seem to rank more quickly than a brand new website. The same goes for a hub on Hub Pages.

    My first lens is a few months old now, and recently I noticed it had achieved a PR1, which kinda surprised me. It only had about 5 backlinks, and not a lot of traffic. I use the same techniques with my text in a lens as I do in a blog post. (using keywords in it, etc.)

    So we will see where it goes from here --

    You waste a lot of time working for 3rd parties for pennies.

    The smartest strategy in my opinion is to use them as sources of links to push people through to the sites you own. It's just one more method to get a good link.

      And yes, I get it, but, I want to see what you say to this. What would you be offering?

    I’m using Squidoo to send targeted traffic to my websites, and gradually create a passive income.

    I got some pages that got many visitors while other got none. I am not much into squidoo.

    I never put time on advertising for them, and never made a nickle even with the pages that hit over 10000 visitor

    I have a few squidoo pages that got a little bit of traffic, but I have to agree with the links strategy. It really is just not effective as a sales page unless you put massive time and effort into it to drive traffic and make money on ads.

    I have over 40 Squidoo pages on all topics. One of the main things you have to do when it comes to actually earning on Squidoo is to manage your lenses.

    Use Squid Utilities on all of your lenses, and really, you should consider getting the appropriate add on for your browser for squidoo management.

    You can actually make money on Squidoo and I have made plenty. They do also rank highly and are great ways to lead readers back.

    If you do not manage them well, they will simply fall off of the map. If you really want to know some more feel free to PM me or email me. I have several methods for creating the highest paying lenses, depends on what you are promoting though, or if you are not promoting anything more than you making PPV money
