How many articles to submit to each directory?

I have 20 original articles I have written for my niche. I am a little confused about the submission to article directories.

Should I submit 5 unique articles each to articlebase, ezinearticles, etc etc.

Or should I submit one unique article each to articlebase, ezinearticles, etc etc + 16 more.

Or should I submit say all 20 to each of articlebase, ezinearticles, etc but each slightly reworded.

The question really is, is 1 link from each article directory the same as 5 links from the same directory or not?

Thanks

So 1 link from 1 directory is better than 5-10 links from 1 directory? Spread the articles out over many directories to have many links?

My site is an amazon/newegg affiliate with adsense and other targeted ads for a particular electrical product of which several models are available.

All the articles would lead back to the main page or particular pages, depending on the article. Although WP is used, I have not adopted a blog format but rather a static page format, as thats easier to run amazon aStores from I think.

      My articles include:

      - how to choose a nnn
      - the leading nnn on the market
      - a brief history of nnn products
      - do you need nnn with n1 and n2 features
      - etc....

Depends on what you are trying to do. Do they all lead back to a blog? If so, does that have enough quality content that your are continuing the conversation with your readers?

Some recent evidence suggests blogs are in a much stronger position since the Google Panda update, especially for shorter articles (200-400 words). Article directories with large, well written articles have traffic that stays about the same, but primarily from directory traffic, NOT search engines.

    Anyone agree / disagree?

well, i think you can submit the original ones to some high reputation directories, such as ezine, because those directories have a high demand on article quality, and also they can offer you higher quality link.
and then rewrite your articles, i mean, a huge rewrite, and then submit to some common directories.
in a word, former for quality, later for quantity.

Submit them all to all the directories because duplicate content is a myth.
