It certainly looks like something tht coul take off in a somewhat viral way, too bad there isn't a Controversial Google search category to help locate stories.

There seems to be no tag like or short what we are about introduction at the top.

I would guess monetizing that sort of non product specific site requires a good volume of traffic, which might take a sustained buildiing phase to develop, site explorer things you have links from just 3 sites so far.

I would suggest going easy on the advertising though until it has really taken off, maybe you don't wait 6 years to advertise like Facebook, I can't imagine they would be earning much at this point, I found in particular that ad in the middle (solar panels when I looked) to be disruptive. Having as much as possible the look of a serious news reporting entity wold help get more voluntary links from other sites.

I got to tell you a hard truth. Your website looks old-fashioned. It needs to be upgraded.

It looks like you have lots of content but i agree with seobuzz. The first thing i thought was that it looks unfinished. Your links all and vids all look a bit naked. At least put some tables in there to break the site into defined sections and get some different colours in there too.

This reminded me instantly of the Drudge Report site with it's kinda raw/naked approach to News links.

It kind of looks like a site where someone deleted the css.. If you have someone write up a great style sheet and implement it for you, that may make a huge difference.
