    Hi Mike,

I am relatively new here and agree with what you say. On the other hand I have seen numerous posts like this over the last few days.

People are either going to get it and have a greater chance of success or they are going to carry on getting other peoples backs up.

Personally I would like to see less of both types of posts.

I can whine and bitch and moan all day long but GarageBand is not going to work on my PC.

Even though Apple ought to be making that happen for me and then give it to me for free because I want it.

    1. Google's purpose is to allow the member's sites to rank #1 and should be sued when they don't.
    2. PayPal's has to do everything they can do to screw over the buyer so the seller can make a profit, except when the seller is the buyer, otherwise PayPal sucks.
    3. Amazon has to respect state tax laws except in the member's case, which is unfair and will put Amazon out of business.
    4. The WSO Forum has to be changed to position the member to make more sales than anyone else, otherwise it's broken and useless.
    5. The Gurus online have an obligation to help the member succeed or free.

Newflash for those of you with this "Sixth Sense"...nobody owes you anything at all.

Each of those I listed are businesses/people who are doing just what you want to do - be successful. And they do what they need do to protect their business...not yours.

If you work within their systems you can accomplish anything you want, but you need to lose this mindset that you're owed something just because you use them.

Like you said, THEY ARE EVERYWHERE!

And BIG Mike, this is a current and serious issue, not only within this forum, but all over the internet and not only. It seems that they are more and more people who tend to think that it is their right to be above us all. Why? Just because, for no reason at all. Maybe I'm conservative, but I grew up learning and working to have a backbone, and that my word should be worth something. And that trust and respect is earned, and you have to work for it, as well as for the backbone which has to be the in each and every person (at least in an ideal world it should)

I'm personally sickened by arrogance and the egotistical manner in which these people try to do business. I am new to this forum, so I don't really have the right to talk about the people here, but usually if I come across someone like this, no matter where, I instantly turn away, and never look back at them.

But you can't really do anything about it. Unfortunately this is the world we live in. With people who you can't trust, who'd screw you over in a heartbeat, or who have absolutely no regard (not to mention the slightest respect) for others.

I don't know if anyone else feels the same. If I'm not right, please, do tell me and please do convince me otherwise, cause this feeling is starting to be quite depressing and demoralizing for work!

PS: And sorry for this long reply, it's just how I feel at this moment.

Nobody is responsible for anybody else's live. The day you start accepting that all the things that happen to you are because of YOU, you'll start growing.

    Big Mike,
You're using Earth Logic. Stop it. If you use the logic of Planet Entitled, this will all make more sense. And you'll save on aspirin.

Entitlement is everywhere these days. I work for a company that encourages it. "You deserve a shiny new semi. Even though you've only been driving 3 months, and you don't have an idea of what you're actually doing, you DESERVE a brand new truck. Show those other losers how special you are!"

And then they wonder why I laugh at them when they claim they own their truck and have been working with the company 6 months. I've stopped trying to explain that they're not entitled to some respect and shock and awe because they signed their life away.

It's worse online though, because as you know, anonymity + internet = entitles jerk. Now always, but often enough.

I had hella trouble with paypal when I first started out and that was mainly because when starting out I didn't know how to play by their rules. I cost me money not only clients. I soon came to the understanding that in order to make it you have to comply or die. Now I treat my paypal account as gold no better yet platinum. If you want to be in the big leagues you gotta learn how to play ball and start learning from the pro's instead of joe's.
