Should I monitize my blog with Adsense?

I am having a blog created purely for the purpose of driving traffic back to my HTML sales page (promoting my own ebook product)

I am wondering if I should also monitize the blog with adsense or anything else. On one account I think that I don't want to loose traffic and then another side I am not sure. Would a blog just with links to my sales page be too limited or boring. I don't think it would as i have alot of very good content to offer my niche but still I wanted to hear what others would do

Thanks!

If your goal is to drive people back to your sales page then if someone cliked on your Adsense ads they would not be going to your sales page.

A good thing to do would be to try both ways of making money, one at a time and see which converts better.

I'd say if you are looking to grow a real sustainable businesses then only drive traffic to your own brand starting out.

If you are looking to make fast cash and nothing stable then drive traffic to CPA offers not Adsense.

I agree it depends on what goals you are trying to reach with your blogs

It can take tens of thousands of visitors to earn the min $100 payout for Adsense, which might require using the same account on multiple blogs to reach that traffic level.

It depends on many things , hows your site looking , how "friendly" it is , what kind of nieche and if is targeting "buyers" ?
Then hows your sales page converting ?
You should run several tests before anyone can give you good advices , test is the key of all things around here.
So don't trust words , trust facts!

  • You need to figure out one thing at a time.

Can you sell what you have?
Are you driving traffic to your offer or are people exiting?

When you know that then you can make a decision.

When I see Adsense on a site... Restaurants.com is a great example it means their PRIMARY BUSINESS MODEL has FAILED.

If they can not sell their product they throw up ads in a desperate attempt to at least make something.

What does this tell your potential buyers?

Once they click the Adsense Ad they are gone... you can't open a new window. Out of site and out of mind. And you send off a potential customer for pennies when you could make dollars.

Only you can answer the question based on the product you are creating.

I think if it is just a blog that focuses on your services or product then I would not place Adsense but if you are looking to target high end keywords, drive traffic, and earn a lot per month from advertising, then Adsense is the way to go.

I could show you proof (but I'm not going to because people will cry and says "oh thats probably fake!" like someone always does) but I have an affiliate product with 1 click 1 sale. For 57 dollars.

So yeah, I would definitely not go with Adsense, which takes thousands of clicks to build up to just 57 dollars.

Go with affiliate banners/CPA banners. Much better money to be made there. Especially when you drive targeted traffic to them (which my 1 click 1 sale product shows, and I've never even sent traffic to that product. It's an upsell to an affiliate product that I do promote) lol

    Here ya go, enjoy:

    http://rapbank.com

All of them pay instant commission to your paypal, some products cost just a few dollars and others cost hundreds. But you are paid instant commission. No waiting for payments each month.

Imagine the possibilites when you stop messing with Adsense and just target the right crowd

Yes, give it a trial. Just be sure to not mess up the html in the source when embedding any code.
