Thanks for trying to ruin my business. Depressed & Disappointed.

Hey warrior forum,

This is rather a serious rant from me, considering that I mostly let things pass by, but not this one.

So, as some of you know I've had serious health problems, and received treatment over the past week and had no complete access to this forum.

Over the course of time, I had my product selling on this forum and I have been answering some questions and etc.

Lately, I've had one of my beloved customer asking for a refund. I was not able to answer his post as I was not able to have a complete access to this forum.

In the mean time, this person on this forum, came to my thread and started bashing me saying things like "I am only here to make a quick buck" and etc etc.

He also pre judges my product saying it's "spammy" and everything.

Luckily, my customer asked this person if he has bought the product or not, well, here comes the interesting bit.

He has NOT purchased my product, even clearly said that and goes upon saying "he already knows what it is about" and bla bla bla.

Our WSO rules clearly state that, such behavior is not tolerated in this forum, yet we still have people like this.

I am very very disappointed and am very certainly feeling depressed.

/end rant.

We need to deal with these people properly. What do you guys think?

Hit report on his posts in your thread. The mods will clean that stuff up, IF you tell them what is going on...

Thanks a lot for your suggestion.

Have done it already. This is like the third time I think a mod has to remove his deliberate harmful post.

Mention that it's the third time when you report him next time and he will probably get banned, or if they can't determine he's done it before they'll probably start watching him.

Report him. He's not allowed to comment like that unless he's bought the product.

    Hope you're feeling better.

As others have stated, if the posts are not factual and posted by someone who has not purchased your product then simply report them. On the other side of the coin you need to understand that your customers have expectations also.

I'm sorry to hear you have been sick however customers don't know this unless you tell them. If you are selling a product then people will expect timely answers to their questions. If you know you are not going to be able to get to the forum for a set period of time then it's probably best to just take the order button down during that period so no customers are left waiting days on end for answers to their questions.

You did mention however that you were able to answer questions during this period so if that's the case, then great. Just report the person and the post will be removed.

This seems to happen a lot on the WF now. It's good that you reported him. I would just think of this as a chance to show others how well you deal with responding to negative and unnecessary WSO comments. I've seen people gain good and bad reps based off of how they chose to respond to hecklers. Good luck with your sales! =]

    Agz21,

I am sorry about your sickness and hope that you are getting better.

It is sad when people bash you without giving you a chance to "make good". Have had the same thing happen to me, so I understand where you are coming from.

The good will win out, so don't despair.

    Good luck.

    Wow....Talk about BAD KARMA!!!

Notifying the mods should remove his post since he did not buy. But if he did, the mods will not remove it because they give the buyers that right. Also, sometimes there are customers that you do not want to deal with in the future. Not to take names or anything but some customers are just trying to push you to the limit. In those cases what I do is use Warrior Plus' feature of blacklisting a buyer. This is only in extreme cases but I've had to do it to 1 customer that I had. IT was a real pain but I had to do it.

WHY? Simply because I was convinced that that customer was bad news. His download stats inside warrior+ account showed that he had downloaded 7 times - all from different IPs and all located in different Geographical locations. Which means he was sharing the stuff directly so I just removed him from my buyers list.

People who ruins someone else reputation should not be tolerated. I believe that there is a diplomatic way of giving or stating one's complaint.

Warning: If you do this, notify the person you're blacklisting, or watch your orders very carefully.

Here's the problem... Blacklisting them does not appear to keep them from buying. It just prevents them from getting to whatever they bought. We had an incident recently where someone pushed a seller too far, and the seller blacklisted them. The guy bought another product from him, and then proceeded to accuse the seller of intentional fraud, ranted about how the forum was enabling criminal activity (as though we have anything to do with either end of the sale), and engaged in all manner of nastiness.

When he was informed of what the real problem was, he went off on me. Insisted that I make the seller give him the product, rather than a refund.

Understand, folks: We can only do so much. We can remove the offer in a case like that if the seller doesn't give a refund, but that's all. The forum doesn't handle any of the proceeds of those sales, nor does it have any control over product delivery. And the mods will not tell people who they have to do business with.

The forum sells ad space for WSOs and classifieds. It has no other part in the transaction.

Another warning: Don't approve random strangers as affiliates through WSO Pro. If a customer asks for a refund and the sale was made by an affiliate, you'd better know the affiliate will refund them if they're asked to. Most people do not know or care how the system works. If they ask you (the seller) for a refund, they don't expect to have to fight with what looks like a third party to get it.

As far I understand it they are 2 different things. There is the 'Block Access' button which will block them from future access to that product. This is something you would use after a customer has been refunded.

Then there is the 'Blacklist Buyer' button which will ban that IP address from ordering from you again. As we know banning an IP address does not really prevent much though. These days a lot of ISPs will actually switch your IP quite regularly and even if they don't, all it takes is going to a different computer location to get past the IP ban.

There isn't really any way you can totally blacklist a buyer - if they want to buy from you again they can always get around most restrictions you put in place.

Good advice. The problem is a lot of WSO vendors get the dollar signs in their eyes and will approve absolutely anyone that requests. There is a very good reason why Mike tells people to only approve those affiliates you are familiar with. If an affiliate makes a whole heap of sales for you and then refuses to process any refunds you will be the one responsible for them. You will also find some affiliates will send junk traffic to your offer which only serves to inflate your visitor count and reduce your EPC so its even less likely other affiliates will want to promote your offer in the future.

This need your creativity of handling the negative feedback of your business, just make sure you can get win-win situation. Personally I will hunting em down, but as a seller we must wise to handle such as negative feedback. Shouldn't happened if before you launch your products to get that mess up. I think on sales letter of products we should have something like if people will give negative feedback is a stupid because your products are giving solutions.

It's sad that anyone can blast a product they haven't even bought! Surely time can be better spent badmouthing something you know nothing about!
Some people need to get over themselves! The same as the people you get demanding a refund for a $4 WSO, when you buy a product do due diligence first and if its not for you don't buy it! Bottom line is most wsos are so damn cheap I'd never waste my time badmouthing on a thread especially one I hadn't even bought! These people will not succeed in business as this is industry is all about building relationships with people and without that ability to work with people you will fail!
So to the OP my advice is don't worry about this member, your business will be better than his will ever be!!!!

If one person complaining in a WSO thread threatens your entire business, you need a new business model.

But, if the person did not buy the product they should not comment on the product. However, the way I understand the post is the person was looking for a refund, so they had to have bought.

But then you go in to say that they have not bought. So, I do not entirely understand the situation.

Too many people like that out there, & on here. Just had something similar happen to a friend whose internet went out for a few hours... Offered a refund to this guy & to complete the transaction when he was ready again and the jerk STILL threatened to "drag his name through the mud." These people need to get a life. Lifetime to build a reputation & a moment (or an a--hole) to ruin it. Hope things are better now.

I deleted three posts from the person he's talking about, and there was no indication in them that the poster had ordered. They read like pure speculation.

    Maybe different people?

I can't help but smile at the situation. If you are getting so much heat for your product then I think you are doing something right. Keep plugging away and remember every successful business man will have a group of haters behind him.

Keep up the good work and keep getting better.
