I was wondering if an affiliate compensation disclosure is really necessary for my website , since the products i will be selling are not mine and i want to protect my work . And , if I need the affiliate compensation disclosure, where can I get one for free ?

The FTC re-clarified how their regulations effect affiliate marketers a while ago, and yet an affiliate earning disclosure is required, you have some latitude in the exact wording, it's not a lengthy legal form, I would just not a couple of examples on other sites as a starting point, as long as you make a reasonable hones effort the you should be satisfied, that means NOT making it in tiny, background colored text.

Some affiliate programs not have disclosure statement requirement, some have interpretations that seem to go beyond the FTC requirements.

Here's a useful interview of an FTC agent on the topic.

If you live in the US, and recommend products that you receive compensation for, then yes - you want to disclose it.

It's nothing technical or full of legal jargon - if you look around, check your emails, etc, you will find plenty of samples.

If you use an 'About Me' type page, you can add a couple of lines to that informing people that you may receive some form of compensation if they buy something after following your link. If you create an html anchor, you can link to it from an unobtrusive but not hidden link in your footer.
