How To Stay Unbanned On WF !!

Couple off the top of my head:

1. Follow the rules.

2. Follow the rules.

3. Follow the rules.

4. Repeat 1-3

If you tryed to do spam you will baned from everywhere in the online world.. no one love spam..

As with most forums, I believe as long as you are seeking/providing genuine value in good faith you should be fine!

At least 4 times, prior to this. You missed out on WSOreviewer...

Let's see. What did he do to get off on the wrong foot? Well, he set up a site planning to review WSOs, and came in advertising it full-tilt. Among his suggestions was that members not buy any WSO until it had been submitted to him for review. Then he posted about his "service" in several WSO threads.

He came back and did the same things with his next two accounts. I hadn't seen the MarketGiant account, so I don't know the story on that one.

As far as I'm concerned, he's just another person looking to create an income by scarfing free products from sellers and then pimping them via an affiliate link. In the process, he would no doubt be attempting to siphon traffic to his site for the reviews, so he got affiliate commissions for traffic others had driven to the various offers.

All in all, not the most auspicious of beginnings.

John, Here's the problem: He's created (or imagined) a business model that requires a high profile here. When I banned the first account, I predicted he'd keep coming back.

Didn't exactly require a psychic connection, of course.

General comment...

People, do not base your entire business model on any single channel of sales. Not the Warrior Forum, not YouTube, not Googoo, not TwitFace, not nothin'.

If you do, and you screw up or that channel does something that blocks you out (or just closes), you're screwed. You end up looking like a beggar. Like the Naked Penguin. err.... "Emperor."

If you have to beg people to let you advertise with them, you're frakking something up, big time.

Jay, For the most part, it is. I looked at the link he was talking about. It leads to a post he wrote here about how to act in forums. No reason I can see to object to that one.

One way to look at those things is to ask a couple of questions:

Is there motive for a lot of people to do that?
If they did, what would the result look like?

If it looks like advertising, there's motivation for a lot of people. And the result would be even more people posting the same thing ("Look at my sig") in dozens of threads every day.

That used to be allowed, back when the place was smaller and the spammers didn't have automated tools to flood it with that garbage. And only if it was in response to a question asked by another member. Things changed, and the rules changed with them.

I know the OP has been banned, but I wanted to offer another way to stay "un-banned".

Most of the people have said to read and follow the rules, which is sound advice, though somewhat incomplete. There are also unwritten rules, but they are, in my opinion, just as easy to follow.

How?

Participate and pay attention. Get a feel for what others are saying and how they are saying it. If you think you have found a loophole in the written rules, you haven't. Certain people think they are the first to hit upon an idea for skirting the rules and are amazed that no one else has been clever enough to do it. It has nothing to do with cleverness; it has to do with following an unwritten rule; if you follow.

A good example is people adding colors, large fonts or special characters to their signature files (I am not talking about those who pay for the small banner image). They think they will stand out more, and most likely don't get why everybody else is using the same font and color and not using special characters.

Answer?

Participate and pay attention.

One last thought: if you come in asking how to stay "un-banned" then your focus is out of whack and you are already putting yourself on the radar of those who wield the banhammer.

I totally agree.

The unwritten rules are based on common sense and the understanding of what
you wouldn't want members to do in your own forum.

It's sorta like a "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" thing.

Don't mention the Bronx Bombers losing to the Tigers in the ALDS to Paul Myers.

Definitely interesting to see the WarriorPlus affiliate requests for "WSO Review" sites that are not reviewing anything.

Warrior A recently sent me a request that I ignored. A few days later Warrior B sent a request. A quick profile check revealed they are the same person with multiple profiles on the forum.

It wasn't the OP.

Naturally, these sites are not reviewing anything. They did not purchase my product. Instead, they copy a paragraph or 2 of the sales page, slap it up on their site, and tell people how great the product is and they should buy it.

At least not if you're going to spell my name wrong after having been a member for all that time.

It's simple...Read the WF rules and do not violate them so you won't get kicked out...

In order to survive at Warrior Forum, it's SIMPLE !

Just don't be a bad boy, doing the things that you want, and also don't try to act smart by violating the rules of forum such as talking bad , posting unwanted links or else other. That's why every forum in the world , there is something called rules and regulation. The rules is to make everyone have the discipline to stay inside here with proper manners and make no mistakes.

Personally I think forum is your freedom to talk anything you wish for, but in limited situation with the bond of rules that keep you from doing stupid things, isn't it ?

Just make sure you don't treat it like your only here for the free traffic...

For example don't create threads that are blatantly promoting your website in some way, steer clear of that and you should be fine unless you are prone to arguments with other forum members.

Perhaps we could have the Warrior Forum version of the "Darwin Awards"? Those who do things that get their account...ah, "eliminated" from the gene pool...
