Payment to people in the Philippians

Hi, we have just taken someone on full time that lives in the Philippians, does any one have experience of transferring the money into their account and the best way to go about it (cost and time)?

  • Hi Paul. Yes, i agree with Sornie. A lot of ways in sending your payment. But if you are in UK Xoom is not yet offered. You can do it by bank to bank transaction. But the best and safest way is Paypal.

  • I would suggest using Western Union transfer is the most common way to move money into the Phillipines. Banking here is a problem they are a very cash based country. If he has a bank account you could do a wire transfer.

    I would recommend WesternUnion
  • I use PayPal also for my people in the Philippines. If they get a union bank account the withdrawal cost is very low. Easy solution

    • Paypal. I have a full time employee from the philippians, just make sure to collect the proper paperwork for tax purposes if you pay them over $600 I think. I haven't had good luck with the oDesk workers, but if you go with oDesk, pay by the project, not by the hour.
