An article marketing dup content question.

Hello all,
This is my very first post. I'm still in the process of keyword research for a new conduit/review site, and I'm having articles written for content as well as for some directory submissions. Question being can I use the same articles on the site as those I would use for marketing? Would that be seen by google as duplicate content? Or should I just have the same articles rewritten?
Lastly I'd like to thank everyone on here for inspiring me to pursue what I once thought was impossible, Now I know it's only impossible when you stop trying.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Garth

I think if you use the same content you won't necessarily get in trouble with google for the article being on your blog but I think your Ezine article would end up ranking higher.

I think the best bet is to put unique content in both places.

Here's a blog post about the dup content myth and article marketing.

Every day I check the obituaries. If I don't see my name there, then I know it's going to be a good day!

No no! Create a 5 to 10 page site with unique content. Then create 10 to 20 new and unique articles and submit those to directories.

You can submit one article to more than one directory. Keep the stuff on your site fresh.

Thanks everyone for the help; I did read in a couple posts that the dup content was a myth. But just needed some reassurance on the right way to proceed.
      Thanks all
