Third Party payment holding service?

I understand that there are companies/websties that will take a payment for a service and hold the money until the job is complete and both parties are satisfied before releasing the payment.

I could see this to be beneficial for having someone from Craigslist for example that is doing a service for you.

Does anyone have a list of companies, websites etc. that offer this kind of service?

I have read about this somewhere but cannot find much about this.

Suggestions?

    well i used to work on a website which is getafreelancer.com.....you can find this case on this website.

    There are many more like such websitees which do this type of work like eurolancer, scriptlancer and many more like such as they are websites which help people aroud the world to outsource their projects. The payment is not released until both parties are not satisfied.
