Is Facebook Too Expensive

How many people have stopped using Facebook because its too expensive, or lost campaigns because of the price jumps?

Are brands killing it for the rest of us because media buyers are lazy?

DIY apps and Fanpage iFrames have just become about $65/yr more expensive for me with the SSL requirement, more costly tan the actual certification is the dedicated IP address.

I think with Facebook anymore it's hard in the US to go from FB to an offline site. That's why i've been working with Fanpages for a while and created a WSO for it.

Like anything else, Facebook ads takes some time and money investment.

There are different strategies for running ads-

Clicks for a buck isn't too expensive - especially if you've figured out how to turn those clicks into dollars. Have you looked at your conversion funnel?

Also - you can get some very inexpensive ads on You Tube, have you tried that?

agreed. i have a good result though if i post an ad with a free offer to increase newsletter subscribers. was never lost money but usually resulted in a high increase in subscribers which are - in the long-run - worth a lot more than one-time-customers.

  • Why do you think FB is too expensive? You can decided how much you want to invest in GB ads campaign. You even can invest just 10$. More you invest in this campaign, the more your ads are displayed to the people who have selected while creating you advertisement. You can get your desired result, as using FB ads you can attract your targeted audience.

It really depends on how much you are making in return to call it "expensive" I guess. But just a few months ago I built a fan page to 100,000 by using ads where I was getting clicks for $.003/click. Yes the decimal IS in the right place there!

You just need to do a lot of testing, as with any other paid ads. It might not work in all niches and I would recommend keeping the traffic on Facebook if you can, but it's worth it to test out if you have some money to play with for paid advertising.

A bought a great WSO on here recently showing you how to get super cheap PPC ads on Facebook - so far I am down to 5 cents a click - I am sure I can get it lower

The thing is without giving too much away you can't look at facebook ads like Google adwords you have to re-think how you do your ads to get the cheapest clicks. Put it this way - Facebook users are not in "buying mode"

It isn't that expensive if you know how to do advertising , thats for sure.
I know lots of peaople that "live" from facebook and trust me...aren't poor.
Facebook advertising is easy once you've learn it...but it takes time to figure it out if you don't have somebody to learn from.
Find a course and you will understant what I'm saying here..

Aussie_Al is right. Facebook users are not going onto facebook with the intent to purchase anything, so if you're going to advertise on facebook consider building up a list of subscribers to market to over time. Whether or not something is expensive depends on the conversion rate of your sales funnel.

One of my parters confided in me that they spend $200 per day to make $100 per day. Sounds expensive, but it takes money to make money in this industry.

I'm just one who likes to stick with raw SEO rather than relying on paying for ads. I mean, I guess some have the attitude of "as long as it makes the money". I guess I'd rather spend my time building rank etc., than paying somebody. Not a big deal though if it works for some. Facebook is supposed to be a bit more $$ than adsense.

I knew this would happen with all the new WSO's and products that came out over the last few months. It's saturated now. Once the big guru's have made all their money from a method they then release it to the masses to make even more money for their next project and we all jump on to a old beaten to death and useless method that is saturated. I have long since stopped doing what the guru's say to do but rather watch what they are currently doing and closely monitoring them because they keep it very close to the inner circle.

I started using Facebook over the last few months and killed it quick. Got over 44,000 fans on a single page and have about 14 other pages with thousands of fans

You just need to get engaged.
