ARRRRGH! Will Somebody Please Tell Me How to Bold This?

I think I've gotten the new forum thread editor figured out now, but I can't, for the life of me, figure out how all these warriors are posting threads with subject lines in BOLD.

Anybody shed some light on this, please? I've tried everything I can think of.

Bold subject lines are threads you have not read yet. Once you read the thread its no longer bolded.
