Hello gentleman, i'm new here ... ; )

Look, the thing is: i'm running my first e-business venture, operating in the fitness niche. I'm online for 22 days and i've 639 subscribers in my list of prospects. It's all going well (i guess), but i have five questions to point out up here:

1°) 639 ( 30 new subscribers per day , min.) - it's that a good number of subs, for a business that's online for 22 days?

2°) I've 34 Unsubscribes till now. I know that you can't make every single person on earth like your business,but...it's that an acceptable number?

3°) Every time that i send a broadcast message (i use aweber) , i get that complaint yellow mark. It go from 0.16 to 0.67%, depending of the message . According to Aweber, my complaint level should be below 0.1%,so... why it's that happening everytime and what can i do about it?

4°) MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION: I think that i'm going pretty well with my daily subscribe growth ... but my social network operation it's going' pretty weak. I have jus' 20 followers on twitter, for exemple. Every message that i sent to my prospects, i put a link to my twitter, but they jus' dont follow me.SO,how can integrate my business to Social Network in a dynamic and effective way? ( i know it's a complex question, What i asking for it's suggestions of methods that you guys use ; ) )

5°) I got a lot of subscribers, but the feedback from them it's weak. I'm afraid that when i launch my product (it will be ready to go in a month), it will not make a good revenue from the list. What can i do to make my prospects more active?

Jus' like you've noticed, i'm new in this e-marketing world. I'm a 19 years old, that jus opened his very first e-business company (yeah, it's a real company - it's based in my bedroom, but have the balls to go big! ) and with a lot of questions! You guys will see me up here very often!

Thank you very very much for you support

Hi, I'll take these one by one.

    1. Yes, 30/day is good for the age of your business, and I would guess that the incentive you're offering them to sign up is a big draw.
    2. 5% seems a bit high. This might indicate that the incentive for sign-up that you're offering is of far greater quality than your regular email broadcasts. It also might mean you're being too "salesy" in your broadcasts.
    3. I would suggest that either you're being too pushy, sending too many broadcasts, or your subscribers did not fully understand that they would be signing up to a newsletter as well as getting whatever it was you offered.
    4. Newsletter readers aren't the same set as Twitter peeps. Build your following separately by posting relevant tweets to your niche and following people within your niche. It can be especially helpful to follow the followers of someone big in fitness.
    5. Without seeing your emails, that's hard to say. You may be sending too many. Do you know what your open rate is? Are you giving them any incentive to participate in your market research, like a discount when your product launches?

    Hope this helps

Having a connection with your subscribers is one of the keys in this business. I would say having 100 active subscribers is better than 500 unresponsive list. Start building a connection and trust with your subscribers rather than sending tons of pitch sales emails

Solid job on getting the 600+ subscribers in 22 days!

As far as the unsubscribe rate and the percentage going over, you're probably just sending to many emails or as Karen said "being too pushy."

You need to build trust with your list, and if you've barely had them on your list for under 2 weeks, let them settle in a bit. You have to make a personal connection with them in order for you to start blasting them. And even then it's still not okay.

Once a week is good, make sure you pack a lot of value in your emails and include your twitter in your signature. Maybe some of them don't even have a twitter. You could email them about how awesome twitter is, etc. How they should join. It's benefits, etc.

    just a thought!

    hope it all works out!

    cheers!

I think 639 subs in just 22 days is awesome stuff! Did you use paid or free traffic to build that list?

600+ in 22 days may or may not be bad. Depends on how you got them, which could also be a clue to why your list is performing the way it is.

Sounds like overall we just need more information to help you out. How did you get those subscribers? This could answer a lot of questions and give us some idea what to tell you.

Very good on the 600 in 22. Convcentrate on building the relationship and delivering value for the first month or two, rather than trying to sell them anything.

The money you make down the road by doing that will make anything you can squeeze out of your young list now look like peanuts. If you do it right, in the future, you'll not really have to sell them anything, just recommend a quality product, and they'll buy virtually sight unseen. Try that to early though, and it's the "unsuscribe" button for you...

Try Facebook rather than twitter. I have more success with it and I think more people are on Facebook than twitter. Great stats though! And yes your unsubscribe rate is acceptable.
