An odd but important question - Best 'ABOUT' page structure??

For a start-up business website that is owned and being managed by an individual, what is the best approach to the 'About' page?

Some would probably think this is an irrelevant, unimportant question but getting this page right can be pivotal to a websites success.

Let me explain,
Do I write the about page from the perspective of an individual i.e. write a little story on my journey to starting the business.

Or, do I write about the business itself, its services, its commitment to customers, mission statements etc.

Or maybe both???
After all, you only gain customers after you've earned their trust.
What do you recommend?

Also, just one other quick semi-related question that has always bothered me. If your the sole owner of a business website and your the only one working on it, do you still use the word 'WE' and 'OUR' to refer to the business or do you simply stick with 'I' and 'MY'?

An example:
Our business is here to provide a reliable and valuable service to all of our customers. We take great pride in our work.
compared to
My business is here to provide a reliable and valuable service to all of my customers. I take great pride in my work.
The reason I ask is because its slightly dishonest if you use the word 'we' all the time when its only you as your giving the impression of more than one employee. I can't help but think that this is not good for business if your trying to create a relationship of trust with your customers. I see it all the time online where people will use the word 'we' and I can clearly tell they're only using this word to give the false impression of being bigger than they actually are. Granted, its only a little white lie but its a lie all the same and that can't be healthy where business is concerned.

I'd appreciate your opinion on either of these issues?
