1) When the article is initially approved, I get a decent to good amount of views over next couple hours. If it happened to get approved on the weekend (As it did once on a saturday... i thought they didnt do regular accounts on Sat, but this was after a holiday so maybe thats why), then this period lasts way longer.
I often get sales during this period
2) Article is indexed by Google, it gets some search engine traffic over time but not much, not at all comparable to phase 1 I listed above. This part I understand.
So the part I'm confused about is "Phase 1". The initial traffic does not appear to come from Google, or I'd think it would be more consistent.
Does it really come from their "high traffic homepage"? Maybe I'm wrong here, but I just can't picture regular users who actually buy products surfing or searching EzineArticles on their own. Webmasters looking for content to publish on the other hand I can picture surfing EzineArticles, but they probably aren't the ones buying my offers.
Where does the initial burst of traffic come from, how is it so targetted, and why does it die off after a couple of hours?
