CTR Theme and Google Plus Button

I have a Wordpress site that I want to add a Google Plus button to the pages and posts. I have tried 4 different plugins, but no matter which one I use, the button does not show up on the site.

The site is using the CTR Theme and it has the most current version of Wordpress.

Since none of the plugins are working, I am guessing that the problem is with something else on the site.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Frank

One of my favorite social media plugins is WordPress › Digg Digg « WordPress Plugins

It has Google+ button. Have you tried it?

I believe it's because when it's local (not webserver) browser block the JS script (that's hosted externally) to prevent security breach. That's why it doesn't work. Try to use sexybookmark where you can select many bookmark site along with google plus, it is awesome.

I had a similar issue with one of my sites that uses the CTR theme and a viral share plugin that included Google plus. It just wouldn't show up.

    I've switched to:
    AddToAny: Share/Bookmark/Email Buttons plugin

Its free and includes Google plus and other social media buttons. It also has various settings so you can control where it goes. And it works with CTR theme.

      Amy:

Thanks for the tip on the AddtoAny plugin. The Google + button is showing. Is there anyway you have found to get the count to show up using this plugin?

      Hi Amy
Thanks for saving me a lot of headache by giving me the solution I wanted.

I searched for buttons of CTR theme and landed on this post which is quite old but a lifesaver.

      Thanks again

I also tried the Digg Digg plugin with the same issue. Twitter and FB show up, but not the Google Plus button. This is driving me crazy.

Does anyone have any other ideas?
