  • I haven't watched the video, but one of the things you could do is explain the benefits of PHP over regular HTML. If someone knows the benefits of converting a website to PHP, I'm sure your video would be very useful to them.

I do explain the benefits in the beginning, as well as throughout.

    Hey Bryan,

My thread for the "$0 to $100 a day video series" was removed for some reason, I think it was because I didn't have any other posts, and could of been flagged as "self-promotion" or spam.. but I'll start it back up later after I make some posts of my own throughout this forum.

Anyways though, I watched your video and I thought it was good and easy to understand. The size was big enough to be able to see what was going on.

Martin - He was using Adobe Dreamweaver which is a web editing program.

Yea, its not looked upon highly when the first post is promoting a link to your youtube video without previous contributions to the community.

So chime in here on a more consistent basis and I am sure self promoting links in regards to how it can help other warrior forum members won't be an issue.

    Hi Bryan.

I thought that video was excellent, thanks for sharing it.

You have a nice easy going style and I found your voice pleasant to listen to.

Even though I am fairly proficient in PHP, there was a couple of tips I picked up that I could use.

Regarding the text editor, I use a free one called Notepad++ that you can get here:
    .:: NOTEPAD++ ::.

May not have as many features as the one you were using but is way better than struggling with the Windows standard Notepad.

I have always been a dreamweaver fan. Started out using Dreamweaver 4 in college...then just kept upgrading

That is Dreamweaver 8, which is a little behind the times since Adobe is onto CS4 now...and DW 8 is equivalent to CS2.

I am glad you all like the videos. Some people hate to hear their own voice...I am no exception but as long as others like it

      Hi Bryan,

Many thanks for that video. I've had a rough idea of the benefits of PHP and the time saving advantages of using it, I just couldn't find the motivation to learn another language (getting old!)

But as you explain, you don't need to be an expert in the language to enjoy the benefits and your video has switched on a few lightbulbs in my head.

      Thanks again
      Dave
