Who successfully markets affiliate products using yahoo answers? I've been banned twice, from two different emails trying to market there. What tactics actually work?

I always give really complete, comprehensive answers and follow it up with a link, so it's not like I`m just spamming links. Any help?

    hi serene,

you may be posting a little too often in yahoo answers. spending one hour a week on yahoo answers is just about right. about 20 replies a week is just about right. can i take a look at your replies?

do you have many posts with links? (does not matter whether it is junk or not) you may want to make more posts without any links as yahoo would mark those persons with many links as spam and ban you.

post links to quality blogs/articles, not just your own link. You are telling yahoo that you are making good referrals, and not just promoting yourself.

remember that reputation has a effect on your marketing efforts, and this is built through solving people's questions in your niche, by providing the best content you can find to help them.

use the search function within yahoo to find a answer for the same question. there might already be one, if so link to that question, there is no need to create a new one.

are you answering already answered questions? some of the questions may already be answered and do not require your help. your time is better spent on someone who really needs your help. if in doubt just google the answer.

become a member of yahoo answers, if you arnt already one.

respond to questions, make friends, like questions you think are interesting and starring answers that you think really helped people. think about this in reverse, how would you feel when people like your question or star your answer? this is probably one of the best marketing techniques around.

      Hi,

Thanks to share Yahoo answers detail here. I personally, take care that i can't make more than 9 posts in yahoo answers.

But some time i see that yahoo delete some questions. why it will be happened. Is it means that we are considering spam? Is it a sign of being block or banned, after some time?

      Best Regards,

Yahoo Answer is Very strict now Since 2009 i have alone made 14000$ with Yahoo answer. But nothings is Fixed they Changed there Rules and become more strict.
You can Still post answer with your link but to make it clickable you should be at level 2 (250) points .
Many Top contributor mark you spam when post usually spam link.

    Yes, I agree with Xavierfok.

its not acceptable at Yahoo Answers to always have a link that is to some optin
    or some product page.

I'm sure the moderators go through the links to find out what is on the other side.

Links to good informative content is important.

I did all that and more (level 2 account) still got banned, you got to be extremely cautious !
In my case I even send a ticket and ask why I got banned, never got an answer and all my hard work was down the drain.

      Take care.

Get a few accounts, change your ip when you post.. That is about the most effective way I have been doing it without being banned on day one. Just don't over post and when you post don't always post your link. Another thing you can do is ask a question and then have your own account with a different ip answer... Choose it as best answer a couple days later. Repeat. But don't always select your own account as best answer make it random some times so they don't catch on. Hope this helps

In my opinion, its just not enough to have a level 2 account, you need to build your reputation and post good replies with useful content to make your account last longer. Posting promotional and affiliate links in every reply is sure to raise suspicion and your account could get banned real fast.

the idea is to answer 3 to 4 without posting a link. That way you will not be seen to just using the forum.

Don't give short answers on yahoo answers a descriptive and good answer make you stay on yahoo answers.
