New warrior looking for direction

Hi Guys, I have been thinking about IM for a while but i fell stuck.
I'm a NB so I'm having hard time taking my first step and need some help.

I really want to have my own websites but I'm not sure how to go about it.
I have taught of blogging but my English is not good, so I guess that is out of the way.
I was thinking of clickbank, but just not sure what to do with the link,.
Can someone give some direction
Thanks

    Where are you from?

You can start with a free blog on blogspot.com

No money needed, only your time and effort. If you're in a country with a peculiar language then there's probably not much competition. Find some topics you're passionate and knowledgeable about and google them. If the first page has only forum topics and weak sites then you can overtake them in the results simply with signature links from 5-6 forums.

When your site starts getting more than 100 visitors daily from Google, apply for Adsense and put ads on your blog.

Don't make a site about something you don't like or something you know nothing about.

I think you should have your own site - try using wordpress, it's simple to install and very low cost - here's a playlist that'll show you how to do everything you need to get started, including making your first landing page.

    >> Setting up Wordpress - YouTube

You can get hosting for under $5 per month and domains only cost $2

The goal should be to get email subscribers so you can build trust and make offers.

I know you said your english isn't great - but you can use (OPC) other peoples content to embed in your site.

Like you tube videos, slide shares, and even articles.

Add a call to action - build your list - make offers - that's all you need to focus on (in my opinion.)

      Hey BDE-

There's some good advice above. I would suggest that you start with Ed Dale's "The Challenge". It will explain Internet Marketing from the ground up and provide you with the solid foundation of information that you'll need to be successful making money online. I can't post a link because I don't have enough posts yet, but the url is www . challenge . co (without the spaces.)

You'll soon find that there's a good community here that will be willing to help you along the way, as long your willing to help yourself.

      Good Luck.

To be honest with you I speak 4 languages but I'm not a really good writer. I spend most of my live between countries so I never got the chance to master one !lol
I'm very skilled and programing and also in marketing. I have add business in the past such as a printing company, security company and they're where all successful, and I sold them.

Now I'm more interested in the Internet, I love the fact of making money with my lap top. So I was looking for other alternatives then blogging.

I if I were you I'd take a week or so to read up about IM for free right here on the forum. If you have a little to invest then a War Room membership will add enormously to your IM education.

Look for threads that are on a specific topic such as blogging and have plenty of responses from knowledgeable and experienced Warriors. There is so much information here that it can be hard to sift through but if you target perhaps three topics e.g. adsense, blogging and Clickbank then you will soon gain enormously useful insights.

Armed with this knowledge you can then take the first steps you need to build a business in your chosen area. By all means post questions and ask for help as you do so - that's why you're here!

    What does NB mean ?

As people above have said you can get a .info domain for $1.99 / year

You can get people on fiverr.com to make review videos.

Hosting can be go for about $10/year ( you'll have to look for it )

People on fiverr.com will setup wordpress for you as well.

If you dont know how and can't afford to pay people you'll need to learn how to do this yourself. Youtube has alot of videos on how to install stuff and review things.

read as much as you can on the warrior forums. There are alot of new comer threads and alot of helpful replies in those threads.

    Good luck.

There are also a bunch of sharks with rehashed overly priced nonsense just waiting for some mug to part with there cash.

Bit of due diligence might be required if the OP decides to follow that route.

If there were one piece of advice I could offer from my prior mistakes, it would be take it slow, find something you are passionate about.

Something you already possess some knowledge to apply to your online business. It can be anything... but research is the key! You'll want to find a "buyer's market" whereby, you can provide advice, solutions, and solve people's problems or feed their hunger.

    RESEARCH!!!

One common mistake (and one I made) was trying to take on too much all-in-one go. Keep in mind, you are building a business, and the objective is for your initial investment(s) to show a return, and "make money" obviously.

Now, you'd be surprised how many people start off with good intentions, and fall victim to a "buyer's mindset" and get stuck purchasing one product after another in search for the magic recipe to success.

What I would do is write down 10 things you enjoy. Whether it's cooking, playing guitar, writing, collecting antiques, etc... *If you're passionate about it, you can have fun building a website and products around that niche, and you can easily communicate your expertise to prospective buyers.

Naturally, there is work involved, and that requires time, discipline, and steady will to succeed. Don't expect too much, and you'll never be disappointed.

I personally had 'offline' small business experience, and though I try to apply many of those traits online, it has been one hell of a journey learning the technical aspect of site building, SEO, quality content, managing opt-in lists, etc.

My advice, is don't look at the 'whole of the internet', just focus on learning one thing, like; buying a domain name, getting a hosting account, and uploading your files.

While each of these are in essence separate steps, collectively, they are the foundation for your business.

Then, start producing quality information (content), and install a free tracking script like (Google Analytics or StatCounter) to moniter your traffic.

Rather than overwhelm you, it's best you determine your strengths and weaknesses, such as; do you know how to perform market & product research?

    You can use FREE tools to do this like;

Google's keyword tool (make sure it's the external version) and Traffic Travis, which are both FREE!

If not, read all the threads here that will help you purchase your 1st domain, and do so knowing; there is a demand for your services, knowledge, products, or affiliate products.

The main thing to remember is a large portion of the tools and knowledge to make money online can be found inexpensively or FREE, don't start buying all kinds of crap, and get stuck being a consumer, as opposed to researching what you need to make money.

Only buy what is absolutely necessary!

    All the Best,

    Art

IM is basically about getting traffics, the more the merrier, to your website(s).
The trick is how to go about aquiring these traffics and there are quite a few ways of doing it.

Check out www-buildingsuccessfromhome-com. There you'll get basic IM video tutorials and occasional webinars free of charge.

I would like to add this in my post

I have been in this reading about IM For about 3 month,
    So far
I purchase a domain name and hosting to initially start a blog, But I got discourage because of my writing, then I changed to a amazon store, was able to do everything with in 1 week using wp. Was not the greatness store but for me was just a trial and I know I would of been able to make it better. I end it up by putting it down.

I'm looking for something that is done or that I can easily do but is as to look Nice and professional, not like the amazon store "Lol".
And I could spend about 100 to 150 on it.

    • Hey,

Good idea coming into the forum for direction before you get into this. Congratulations.

When I started out I just jumped in and wasted enormous quantities of time and effort and self-esteem learning to swim without a plan beforehand and now I am getting the fundamentals down, which is key.

I recently came across a free video of a paid workshop all about building your internet business as a business - a business - step by step. The workshop is held by a guy I have purchased from and have been following, named Dave Jenyns, SEO Expert with major positions in the hyper competitive stock market niche.

The video is great if you are new and looking for direction because this video saves you time, energy, money, and major frustration and the video is right here - (dot) crusherworkshop (dot) com/ ?le_ref=207

      Enjoy.

The typical internet user will not have a very high reading level, so that shouldn't be much of a problem. Also, you can get other people to write your content, of course.

I think blogging is a great way for you to start. If I were you I would stick with one for at least 30 days and continually add more quality content. Clickbank is fine, but the traffic is more important than from where you draw offers.

    Hiya,

I just put up a site with information for beginners to IM, its in my signature below. The best thing to do is read these forums a bit and find a few ideas to pursue. Look at adsense, affiliate marketing or other ideas and then think about which one would fit your style, which one can you get into cheap and get your feet wet.

Best Advice...I can give: Learn the art of persuasion

Learn how to persuade people to click on your ad, buy your product.

Study the great copywriters like John Caples, Claude Hopkins, Eugene Schwartz, Gary Bencivenga, Gary Halbert

      2.Outsource all the technical stuff

A guy in my mastermind has build a 5 million a year business and he still doesn't know how to make a website. But he knows how to persuade people through the written word to buy.

Your English is just fine. When it comes to writing for making money online, it's not like you are writing stuff for school. The writing style is more casual like you are talking to a friend. Promoting physical products usually takes less writing and stuff so you might try that. Also, blogging on Wordpress is a great way to make money online. In fact, it has become standard, which is why so many of the "gurus" use the technique. All it really takes is some product reviews and articles on info related to your niche topic.

    Good luck,
    Joey
