I am so glad i am a member of this forum but one annoying thing is that i have not make it up to my dream, i have added persistence but to me nothing is working. Does it mean one cannot make thousands online? I still have a big NO inside me because i can hear people from this forum writing their success online. I look to be ashamed of myself, but one thought inside me said i am not on the right track.
Please GURUS tell me (us) how you guys make this stuff work. I strongly believe someone can earn a living online but how this magic works is something i have not understand. I have decided within me again to give it a trial (though i know it is still my persistence at work). This time to start from the very letter A. ( i mean to start from scratch).
I personally, believe this thread will be a good help to me and my fellow web suffers who are still on their way to make a dime online, as we read and follow the foot step of successful IM. Don't tell me to search the forum because am really sick of going through the process and look forward from you guys to help me reach my goal.
To summarize the whole story, i will love you guys to list good number of businesses one can do online and make decent money. From your list of business i can choose one particular one to go with and learn more about it.
Thanks again for your support and informative assistance you are to this very forum. I am grateful to be among you.

  • You seem to be a product of your culture.

Think about what you buy, what you do, what you like.

Is there anything that occurs in your life that would make you EXPERT at something?

People trust verifiable experts. You have to CREATE VALUE.

You won't make money until you have something to offer... and the online part doesn't matter. Just because someone has a computer and an internet connection doesn't mean they will make money. The vast majority of people here want to learn "how to"... but they will never make a full time living at it.

There are very few who make a full time living online... until they figure out that it's not about them... it's about the customer... and your ability to create value in their lives.

Why would you buy from me? Can you answer that question? The average noob would say because I'm the best or this or ... and would exclude the real reason people buy... to satisify their own Wants and Needs... not yours.

I never meet my customers... I do talk to a few of them online via email, but I do not know them personally. But I do know what they want... that's how I make money. Figuring out what they want and how I can put it in front of them in a way that satisfies their needs. It's work, it requires constant tweaking and testing and adjusting.

Bottom line again... Money follows value... create value REAL value for other people and you'll make money in ANY field.

      Well said...

Perhaps creating value (for) people, as opposed to (in) people would be better suited, unless you know them well of course...

Yes... the objective is to offer and deliver value absolutely, be it a service, product, or affiliate program. Just stick around, and find yourself a starting point... there are plenty here who will offer advice, and experts in nearly every marketing method conceivable.

      All the Best,

For starter's try and think of something people need to solve a real life problem. While it's always tempting to say; "Hey everyone needs money" it's a tough nut to crack if you; yourself have no experience making money online.

Another words, people have 'broken hearts' over a break-up in a relationship, or those who may be suffering because their wife snores like a trucker at 3am... [clears throat] like mine does...LOL

These are just random examples, but if you think of ailments, pain, immediate needs, a common problem, or a solution to a question many people are seeking answers to... you'd be surprised how many people line up to buy the remedy... and it's a good starting point.

Clearly, the entirety of the answer you seek could be summed up by suggesting you start with a domain, a web hosting account, and a decent affiliate product, and still... there's quite a bit more to it than that.

Be patient, and be prepared to learn how to conduct research, in absolution that is a main ingredient in the recipe to finding success online.

Edit: And Yes, the two responses above are great advice, and the threads Benjiman suggested, I know well, and agree, read those!

If your tired of the 'process' already, then this may not be right for you, considering I love the process, and still struggle to make a part time income, I think Vlad's response should be an eye-opener, and something to give some real life consideration. Frustration is normal, but if it gets to the point you can't enjoy the process... take a different course of action.

What it takes: patience, persistence and consistency with whatever you choose to focus on.

First and foremost it takes ACTION. The number one reason people fail online is because they never really start. Sure they spend time in the forum and spend time reading all types of guides, but they never put together a clear plan and take action.

If you want to be successful online you must be willing to put in the work. My advice is to plan to make absolutely no money for your first 6 months to a year and just work the plan you decide on. Anything you do make should be saved and reinvested into your business at some point.

You are most likely not going to make a ton of money right from the get go and this is another thing people get caught up on. They expect to be rich a year after they start and that is hard to do. It is hard enough to get to the point where you are earning a full time income, but if you are willing to work and you put a plan in place you can get there.

As to where you should look in the forum......my sig has a good thread in it (listed second) and here are a couple of other really good ones to take a gander at:

    http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...g-success.html

    http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...t-unlucky.html

    http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...-fan-page.html

    Hope these help!

That is your main problem. You shouldn't expect people that arent getting paid to sit here and lay out their business strategies. Go read what others have posted and learn on your own, nothing in life will be handed to you for free and you should learn that simple fact before you move on to anything else.

You can start by being a service provider of some kind. If you are good at writing, you can be a ghostwriter on a site like elance. If you're good at web design or something, you can design websites for other people on sites like fiverr or look for those jobs here in the Warrior Forum. The cool thing about being a service provider is that you get paid via Paypal. The down side is that you pretty much have to work for every dollar that you earn.

Perhaps the most common way to make money online is to start a niche blog that focuses on a particular topic like dating, weight loss, learn Spanish, toys or video games and usually consist of both product reviews and related articles (like various tips). With a niche blog, you're able to generate residual income - work once but continue to profit (search engines), generate several income streams from the same blog by doing things like list building or selling ad space, and able to work around your schedule. It's also important that you choose a niche topic that you enjoy AND is profitable at the same time.

    Good luck,
    Joey

Much as we would all like to think there is some magic formula it really only comes down to three things....belief, action and persistence. Just take the first step and keep going....you'll get what you need every step along the way......

This is an IM forum and most people will be teaching you how to be a GoogleSlave or make money selling products about "how to make money".

There are other ways to make money. Think about the advantages that you have. If you can go out and take great African wildlife or nature pictures or videos you can sell them on istockphoto. I have a video that took me 2 minutes to shoot and has generated $2,000 in sales. Unfortunately, broker takes $1,500 and I get $500. This video still continues to sell a few copies per year. I have 700 videos in my portfolio. There are people that have 20,000 videos. If you can't get your files accepted there start a wallpaper website using your photos and try to monetize that.

In fact I will be pulling my videos from stock agency and putting on my website. I am sure this way I will generate enough traffic to make more money than my agency is paying me. And because of the fact that they take 75% of gross revenue that my videos are generating. If you want to make real money start your own stock photo agency.

If you have a post office nearby, go buy some cheap wildlife postage stamps and put them on eBay at 99 cents each. They allow you to sell 100 items per month without paying insertion fees. It's not a big money. This is just to get started. Just showing there are other ways than paying thousands of bucks to buy online courses and trying to get to the top of Google.

Most people starting in this business underestimate the amount of time it takes to get up and running. It's normally months of hard work (maybe years) but certainly not days! Don't give up and keep plugging away.

    Hi SDB

I will be very honest and upfront here.
I am not some big Guru or I am not earning 6 figures online. But I have got to the point where you can have a clear look at the path to the beautiful peak of the mountain and make your way towards it! I AM making money online now and I am happy about the way things are turning around for me!

It took me quite a while to figure it out but this is what I found out!

Invest some time to figure out few of sectors where you think you can compete with the others. It depends on the level of your expertise, your experience and definitely your interest or affinity towards it. Do not go for a so called highly profitable market just because everyone is saying so and get yourself bogged down under that pressure later. Until and unless you love to write or talk about it, please avoid it. I am saying this from my own experience and I myself have done that mistake. As being said in the earlier posts, it all comes down to how much of value you can contribute to that community. What you love doing? What you love spending most of your time on? Make a list of all those things that are close to your heart.

After that get them through the profitability analysis test. Are there products available in those sectors? Are people spending money on those products? Go to places like the Clickbank, Amazon, the Dummies bookstore etc. and do your research. Get the best out of all that list. It should be somewhere in the intersecting area of your affinity and profitability.

Once you have decided on your favorable niche, go an join a forum related to that niche or market. Just Google "(Your Market name) Forum" and you will have hundreds of them. get actively involved in them. Do not just go and start selling or pitching. Establish yourself as someone who actually knows about that topic. People will start flocking around you. Start a Fan page related to that topic and get involved yourself acquainted with the other fan pages in that market. Start writing valuable articles about that and submit it to the article directories. Get those articles of your This definitely takes time but believe me, its how it works.

When I started out, I was just jumping from one make money product to another and looking for some quick money. It doesn't work like that. You have to invest time into it. You have to develop relations. get yourself a good internet marketing product. My best recommendatrions are Chris Ferrell's Membership program and Jo Barne's Social Networking Academy (No , these are not my affiliate link and I do not get a penny of it if you decide to join them ) Just take on one of this and stick to it till it works.

Believe in what you do! DO NOT QUIT! It works but it takes time. Sounds cliche but its a perfect plan, taking action on that plan and perseverance. These are the 3 factor you will need to succeed.

So just hang on and keep moving forward.....

    Hope it helps!

I agree with Amitav.Dont quit and try to explore everything yourself. There are certainly some resources that can be helpful for you and by spending some money you can take a membership of Chris Ferrell program and I assure you If you dig about Chris in Google you will find lots of positive reviews about him and his membership program.
