Which Video Player?

I've been researching video players for the last month or so and still haven't come to a conclusion as to which might be best.

I'd really appreciate some thoughts you guys have on which is best, easiest to use.

I know some video players have monthly fees, some are totally free.

I wanted to use it mostly on a wordpress blog.... but still use static sites also

So.... what's your favorite video player for showing video on your blogs and websites.

  • Are you looking to host your own videos or to just do something like youtube?
  • There are good ones that are paid and non-paid. For an example, a non-paid
    option would be Youtube. A paid option would be using Cloudfront while using
    AmazonAWS.

      Not interested in youtube. I need to get a video player for playing videos I've uploaded to my server or amazon S3

  • Vimeo Rocks dude. I host all of my videos up there now and they are a very high quality network. I suggest Vimeo Plus though.

    Are you suggesting that vimeo is better than amazon S3? But, more importantly.. How do I send visitors to a given or desired page at the end of the video for example?

    Does anyone have ideas please?

    This thread was about a video player. So, which video player if any should one use.? In terms of video media storage .. there is amazon S3 and vimeo..

    Can one do the following when using S3 and Vimeo?

    1) Ask the visitor to subscribe to a newsletter ... within the video.
    2) Send visitor to an order page to start the process of ordering. Again, within the video.

    Or, is there an other tool that one needs to use in combination with either S3 storage or the video platform referred to as vimeo?

    Your input, feedback and ideas really appreciated..

    One more important point .. I have recently started to come to warrior forum for information prior to making any buying decision.. and that is the best thing I have ever done.. I have saved myself a lot of bother ... and thanks for that ..

    I have found the answer. Easy video player is the tool to use with amazon S3. Does anyone use this and if so what is your advise please?

  • Easy Video Player offers all the features you need for playing videos uploaded to S3 or locally. All my videos and most of my partners use the software as you can do so much with it. Opt-in forms, trigger events, overlays, full statistics etc etc

    Take the plunge and go for EVP. It's the best by miles in my opinion.

      Thanks Mark, I was thinking about giving JW a try. I like all the features with EVP....if I the budget is tight and if I knew things were going to work out I think I would go with EvP... seems like a lot of IM guys are using EVP

      Thanks Jeff...seems like all you guru's are using EVP Since my first project is going to show how to perform different tasks in a membership format....I don't think I need all the bells and whistles, although I certainly can see that these things would be usefull for all other videos.


      Wondering if EVP protects people from swiping your videos?
