More Amazon sales - Professional review or personal recommendation?

This would be for a small mini-authority site in a certain niche. I don't care if I make sales for the next 6 months and by that time I will have some good content, that isn't just reviews.

So would proper reviews be better, or would I be better talking about the product and give my personal recommendations on each item?

Cheers

Reviews done in a neutral tone tend to come across as being more legit and honest. Just act like you're a reporter and list facts about the product in an unbiased manor.

Of course your goal is to sell the product and there are ways to promote it with out making your review sound like a sales letter. Have a "Pros and Cons" list and make sure the pros heavily outweigh the cons. Also you can have a section where you post customer reviews of the product and post mostly positive reviews.

Using these tricks and others you can promote a product using a review without making it look like you're biased and going for a hard sell approach.
