Anybody else having problems connecting to the Warrior Forum?

Hey Guys,

Having a weird problem here accessing this website.

In Firefox, when I type in the base domain of the warrior forum, I'm getting a Redirect Loop error. Strangely, when I type in the domain and a subdirectory, like the Main Internet Marketing Discussion Forum it comes up, although sometimes takes several seconds.

Also strangely, in IE8, when I type in the base domain, it never successfully connects to the site. It just sits there, waiting.

Google Chrome seems to be okay.

I'm currently in here using FireFox, but I got in here by typing in the address of the Main Internet Marketing Discussion Forum, then logging in from there.

This one's got me scratching my head. Any ideas?

It's not a cookie problem. My FF accepts cookies. So does IE8 (which I rarely use).

    • hmmm.

I cleared cookies, browser cache, dns cache (just in case), restarted FF and still have the same problem.

It's not just Firefox though. I'm having issues with IE8 too, although I don't use that very often, so I don't care about that, but strange I should have problems with 2 different browsers, yet Chrome seems ok.
  • I use FF and don't have that problem at all. Works OK from my end.

    • well, looks like I'll have to do some sleuthing here then. Seems to be a problem with just me.

      Hate when this happens, lol.

    • I had the same problem this morning, but it cleared itself up in a few minutes.

Guess I wasn't enterprising enough to try out any of the options.

  • Yes, same problem earlier today with FF. F5 was the cure. Pages are loading a bit slow.
  • Yup, same thing here. I'm using my phone right now and I have to use my bookmarks in the Off Topic Forum to get in here.

    • I was able to login using FF okay, but the site is really loading s-l-o-w-l-y even now.
  • Site is just slow tonight

    • Ditto, I'm having the same connection issues - including "cannot follow redirect" problem. I finally got in using IE, but it took a while. Something must be up.LH
    • Craig,Nope. Not just you.

I get that in Safari, but only on the PC, and only when I go to the root URL. I can't reproduce the problem anywhere else, or in any other browser. Other people have had very different results. I can't see any pattern to it, except that it's consistent for each person.

They're working on it. The odd variances are making it harder to diagnose.

  • I use FF and has the same experience as OP - it's not a cookie problem.

Now I just access WF via a non-root url and it's fine.

    • I'm getting the exact same problem today. No go for the root url in FF, and no go in IE either. Both browsers are up to date. Can obviously access posts and subdomains though.

Also had a problem trying to PM someone yesterday - a database error/problem
  • Log out and log back in usually fixes it for a day or two for me.
  • Is it peak time in the US? That could be a factor, or the servers are just getting old!
  • It seems like i am not the only one having this problem. Maybe because everyone are accessing WF.
  • Seeing all the problems that we are having at WF, trying to login from various places around this great globe. Many of us have the same problems as others, or a slightly different one, or variation.

Seems it is not only anyone browser, as I use FF, IE, Chrome, Safari, Opera, like many others use here and still have the same problems. Many warriors also use many browsers.

This is one of those "Why didn't I see that in the first place."
Because it is a combination of many little errors..

99 trips to your car dealer for a problem, then trip 100 they find it. In the mean time they have scored a few hundred dollars from you, because of the poor connection at the fuse box.

Now I will go and have another coffee at McD and cause more trouble.

    • I cannot seem to start a new thread. When I make my post and submit, it does not go live, any thoughts?

  • I'm having the same problem on FF and also the same problem on my BlackBerry mobile phone.
  • Sometimes I have connection reset error or the server is busy. And when that happens, I usually don't log in anymore. I think the forum is busy during that time.
  • Today I have managed to access WF only from IE. Others just fail, I end up being sent to Redirection Status page. And the link is not clickable there.
  • Yeah! I too was having this problem and I think almost three days it persisted, but now it is fine.
