Simple Strategy for Article Marketing Success

I have been writing for many years and since I am able to work from home full time I thought I would share the plan I am currently using to make money with article marketing.

First, I do my research and choose a domain name (nearly always a .com) based around the main keyword for my niche. I like to go after keywords with at least 5,000 exact searches per month and a low amount of competition.

Second, I set up a blog with Wordpress. I use Hostgator so it is very easy for me to do this directly from my cpanel. I either use one of the basic themes I have and add in my own graphics or search for a new one, if necessary.

I add in all the plugins I like including All in one SEO, Facepress, Tweetthis, WP-Cache, Onlywire, Related Posts, SEO smart links, and a few others. I also change all the settings, which vary, to fit the blog I am trying to put up.

The rest of the plan is where it really happens, but it is necessary to set up the blog properly first.

The Step by Step Promotion Plan through Article Marketing

Step #1 - Write 50 posts - These need to be of high quality and give your readers something they can use. I do set up good SEO with every post by putting my keyword phrase in the first sentence, last sentence, and keeping a density around 2%

OPTIONAL Step #1 - If I am reviewing products instead of monetizing with Adsense I write 5-10 product reviews and make them Pages. I always target the product name in this case and I like to do comparison reviews when possible.

Step #2 - Schedule out the posts - I like to schedule 3-4 posts per day for a week, then 1-2 a day until all 50 posts are up.

Usually at this point I will start working on the next site/blog because I want to wait for my posts to get indexed by Google before I do anything else.

Step #3 - iSnare - Once my posts are indexed I submit each one to iSnare. I am a Platinum member and can submit 10 articles per day, so I submit all 50 posts over a 5 day period. I never link to the same post on isnare and I include a link to my homepage in each submission as well.

***If it is a review site I link to all my product reviews in related posts to build backlinks and traffic***

Step #3 - Press Release - Once all my posts have been submitted to iSnare I write a Press Release and submit it out to the following list of PR sites:

Newswire Today's - Free Press Release & Newswire Distribution Service - NewswireToday - Press Releases News Distribution Network
pressbox - free press release distribution and news - press store - copywriting services
pressbox - free press release distribution and news - press store - copywriting services
Free Press Release Distribution | Press Release Service I-Newswireâ„¢
PR-USA.net - Home
pressbox - free press release distribution and news - press store - copywriting services
IdeaMarketers-The Free Content Directory
http://freepressindex.com
Free press release distribution - free press release services with ClickPress
USPRwire | US & Global News Distribution

There are many more out there as well.

This step is huge because it gives me a good amount of traffic and these backlinks are of high quality.

Step #4 - Article Directories - Now I submit each post to a handful of the top article directories for a bit more traffic and more backlinks. I try to do about 5 per day.

Now, if my blog makes money and show the potential I am looking for I will maintain it by writing 3 posts per week (usually outsource these at this point) and scheduling them throughout the week. I also go through once a month and submit all new posts to isnare and the article directories.

This is pretty much all I do and it has helped me build a list, make money with adsense, make money with clickbank, and make money with a few other affiliate programs.

Hope this helps someone out there!

    Thanks for the share.

However, I have to ask why don't you use Ezine Articles?

I'll check out iSnare, but nearly all credible advice seems to point to EZA being the #1 source for article marketers and syndication.

I do use EZA, but it is not what it used to be and is not even worth mentioning anymore. It is included in the list of article directories I use. Article directories are not able to give you nearly as much traffic as they used to be and the backlinks are average at best. I try to concentrate more on getting my articles and posts on better sites.

Anything you read about EZA still being the number one source for syndication is completely wrong.

No offense here Benjamin, but can you prove this with evidence? Is this what you really tested the result before or it's just your thought no more no less?

Don't get me wrong. I'm in between and I support only the facts.

Let me put it this way.....I used to get thousands of views from my articles and dominate the "most viewed" list in a few different categories. I used to only use EZA and I made great money from the strategies I used. However, they made changes that made those strategies not work all that well anymore.

Ever since they made their changes my article views and clicks there are way down. Articles that used to get 100+ views a week get maybe 10 now if I am lucky.

They used to get a lot of google love and you could get your articles on the first page pretty easy with EZA, but now it is nearly impossible to consistently put your EZA articles there.

EZA is now worth a little trickle of traffic and an average backlink. That is about it.

It's funny you say that because I've noticed numerous posts/products recently that don't even mention EZA.

Although I definitely agree, it's weird because for most of the time that I've been in IM, EZA was king.

My "ultimate goals" are very simple and I don't mind sharing at all. I want to make enough money to pay off my student loans (don't get me started on that great American scam either), then I want to get to the point where I can cut down to 10 or less hours of work to maintain my income every week.

From that point I want to semi-retire, buy an RV and travel this great country. After I have thoroughly traveled this country I want to hop around the world and see everything there is to see.

I would like to be to this point with my savings and with my online income supporting me within 10 years time. I am not greedy and really believe I can achieve my goal if I can get to $12,000 - $15,000 a month within the next 2 years. My business is steadily growing at a very manageable rate and I will hit all my goals if I just continue to work hard now.

In your first post to this thread, in step 3 you wrote: "I never link to the same post on isnarel." I'm confused as to the point you are trying to make. Please elaborate.

Also --- In post #21 you mentioned a blog post size of at least 600 words. I'm new to blogging so this may be a dumb question but is it advisable / feasible to inrease post sizes to say 1,250 words? I ask this because many recent WF threads suggest going with article sizes in the 1,200 to 1,500 word range to enhance syndication.

          Thanks Again,

          Ernie Mitchell
          Ernie,

When I say I never link to the same post from isnare I am referring to the exact same content. Since I don't spin my posts ( because it is a waste of time and makes no sense anymore) I don't want my readers going from the exact same post they just read on another site to it on my sites. For example, if I submit a post called "How to Get the Perfect set of Custom Golf Clubs" from my blog to insare, instead of linking directly back to it I will link to another post that is similar like "Where can you Buy Custom Golf Clubs?".

Also, I always link to either my homepage or a category page as the second link within the resource boxes.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with writing more than 600 words. I always set a minimum, then try to write until whatever information I am trying to explain has been thoroughly explained. I don't want to just stuff words in there for a word count. 600 words is pretty easy to hit for me and many of my posts end up between 800 and 1,200 words anyway, but I do have some right around 600 and of course some much longer. Variety is the spice of life!

I can remember that day as well and you could piggy back off another very successful articles with the "most recent" and "most viewed" lists. Now with the way they have designed their site and since they got hit very hard by the Google Panda they are worth very little compared to the way they used to be.

Another example why having traffic coming from multiple sources is so important.

Great read, tons of useful info!! How long have you been doing this? When did you start doing it full time? How do you decide to monetize, based on the niche or? I know you mentioned click bank, ppc, etc.

I have been writing and doing different things with internet marketing for nearly 10 years now, but this strategy is a bit newer to me. I started using it back in May and have done quite well with it.

It is my new strategy to help fit with what Google is doing and to create traffic from sources other than just Google. I like to have a good amount of sources of traffic just in case something happens to one of them.

Usually I will monetize depending on the niche. Anything that costs a large amount of money is going to be something companies are going to pay big dollars to advertise and I will put Adsense on those sites.

It also depends on how the test goes because if I am not getting a very good CTR with Adsense I will switch over to promoting a few products, but usually my product review sites are very specific as to what products they are about.

It really is just trial and error and trying to make a good guess as to what will work best for monetization. Sometimes I try a few different choices before I settle on one and sometimes it is a combination of a product and Adsense.

The one thing that is consistent with nearly every site I put up is I am always trying to build a list by giving something away for free. Typically I will promote products and blog posts through my list and try to give the subscriber some good value.

Awesome thank you so much! I just have one more question. I have put up a couple of websites without doing any research, my bad! Turns out that no one is searching for those.

So the question is I'm trying to find a niche that I feel I can provide quality/useful content for. I've been looking at the past trying to see what I've done and that I feel maybe someone would be searching for, but all of them have been under 5,000 global monthly searches.

What is your process? Since you do your own writing mostly do you write about stuff you know personally or do you research it then write about it?

I do some of both. My advice would be to stop getting hung up on the search numbers. With the plan I have outlined I have you putting up 50 posts. If you use long tail keywords and each one gets searched 1,000 times per month, on average, you can still get a nice amount of traffic from the search engines.

All you need is 100 visitors from each post every month to get 5,000 visitors a month. That is a good amount of visitors each month and very achievable.

Plus many of the keywords that get searched for less than 5,000 have very little competition and are easier to rank high for. They also tend to be more specific bringing you more targeted traffic.

I don't spend a large amount of time on keyword research to be honest. Typically I will build a quick list of 200-300 keyword phrases from the Google keyword tool and they vary from high searches to very low searches every month. Then, I research a handful of them with news sites and other sites providing factual information.

Once you research a handful of them the rest becomes much easier because you are learning about the niche every single time you write or read something new about it.

The niches you are already in probably can be monetized to make money with the right plan. I would suggest looking at them again and thinking about putting up more content around even more keywords.

Look at it this way.....if you have 50 posts and they all get 1,000 local searches a month you still have the potential to rank in front of 50,000 visitors a month. That is as good as doing 10 keywords with 5,000 local searches a month and you have a better chance to rank for more of the 50 posts than you do for the 10. You will also have more articles out there to help you get more traffic.

                    Article marketing is not as much effective as it used to be; if you still write articles, you should submit them to press release sites to get the most value for your efforts; there is another fantastic way to put articles to use and that is by turning articles into videos; and you don't even have to create articles yourself; PLR articles work great with this method;

There is a tool called Article Video Robot which converts articles into live, talking videos equipped with sound, music and animation. I have written a detailed review about this tool on my blog. You can take a look by clicking on the link below:

There is one vital problem with what you suggest here......an article and a press release are very different and most articles will not be approved by PR sites.

I also don't suggest taking shortcuts like using PLR articles for anything. You never know who has already used these for submission or even for videos. I like the idea of turning articles into videos, but why in the world would I trust PLR content when I can write my own unique content or have it written for me specifically.

I also have to come out and say what you have on your blog is not much of a review. It is more like benefits with a link to buy the product. I don't see any screen shots showing me what it can do or any videos showing the end results. On top of that you have 3 banners promoting three more products, which can very easily distract me from the so called review you have there.

I don't mean to rip your site apart, or maybe I do, but it is a good example of over advertisement, too much content for a subscription form, and a very lazily put together review with plenty of copy and paste. Of course, you call your blog Lazy Cash Making Formula, which screams SCAM, Get Rich Quick Scheme, and Garbage to me.

Just my two cents and I don't mean to offend you, but I simply don't like your site at all, even though the tool might be a good one.

I never really worry about it. As long as I am getting traffic I don't waste my time trying to track down the few people that don't follow the rules.

This all depends on your niche and as I have stated before I am not after search traffic. I am after traffic from other sources and search traffic just happens to be an extra benefit.

I am not there yet in terms of volume of articles written. I only started making money in IM some months ago so the platinum membership would be wasted on me as I probably would write only 10 articles in a month max. I'm a really slow writer!

I found this very helpful, I might need to make a blog that isn`t on a free domain... What do you guys think? Wordpress.org or Blogger.com or Wordpress.com?

I love wordpress myself and I would spend the little bit it takes every month get your own hosting. It is so cheap I don't understand why anybody would not make this upgrade as soon as possible.

Wordpress can be set up to look more like a website and function like a blog, where as blogger just looks like a blog no matter what.

50 posts? You must be writing about a variety of topics. I only write articles related to my niche. And coming up with 50 different ideas and how to construct them is not that easy.

You are absolutely right. I actually try to do one very high priced product review site once in a while for this exact reason. The other thing to look at is products that are cheap, but sell like crazy.

It is actually much easier than you think, but that is coming from a writer. For example, if I do a product review site and I review 10 products, then I only have to come up with 5 posts for each product. That is assuming I do posts that have to do with just the products. You would be surprised at what you can come up with if you really get creative.

Here is an example of how I could break down a niche. I am going to use a sub niche of the "Golf" niche for this example. It will be "golf clubs".

If my main niche is "golf clubs" I can break this down and easily do 10 product reviews for different brands including drivers, woods, irons, wedges, and putters.

Now my posts will be more about things like how to choose the right golf clubs for a beginners, for a high handicap golfer, for a low handicap golfer, and other things similar to this.

If you are logged in to Google and you use the Google keyword tool for "golf clubs" there are 593 keyword phrases to choose from. You only have to find 50 things to write on.

I would probably break this down even further and do posts on custom golf clubs, used golf clubs, the history of golf clubs, what golf clubs Tiger Woods is currently using, and more.

If you don't believe it can be done look at a couple of posts up where I broke down what I would do if you were going to put up a site about "Slippers".

Obviously I don't know your niche, but I am sure there are at least 50 topics you can write about within the niche.

I use Godaddy for all my domains and you can do a search for a coupon code to get a .com for like $8 a year. I also use hostgator for my hosting and you can start out with them for a penny if you want with a coupon code. I have a free guide in my signature link that goes into more detail with wordpress as well.

Anything you struggle with in wordpress you can search the forum and youtube to find easy to follow tutorials to help you figure it all out. It is not all that hard to use and once you get the hang of it you will be glad you took the time to learn it.

No worries about going off topic. Your hosting and your domain are vital to your business. If you don't have a good hosting account your site may be slow to load or you could have a large amount of downtime. This could cost you money in the long run and when your domain is not all that good you could be missing out on traffic from the search engines.

May I ask how you go about getting the 50 posts written? It seems to me this is the hardest work in the process and would probably take me ages.

It sounds like you do this yourself. Any tips on how you make the writing easier or quicker would be appreciated.

Well, I am a writer so this is actually the easiest part for me. However, for those that are not good at writing you can pay someone to write for you. It may cost you a good bit of money to get 50 posts done, but you can split this over a few weeks.

Find a writer that will work out a bulk rate with you and weekly payments. If you split this over 5 weeks and do 10 posts a week you can get to where you are trying to go. You will just want to change the way you post to your blog at the beginning and just put up 1 - 2 a day until all the posts are up.

Just make sure the posts are HIGH QUALITY, GOOD ENGLISH, and ATLEAST 600 words each. The last thing you want is to pay someone to write bad content for you. This is certainly not the part to go cheap on.

While I am perhaps ill-equipped to rebuttal your statement concerning EZA still having some great link juice... I am inclined to think it depends on the strategy?

None-the-less, there are some heavy hitters here who I am sure could make claims that in
their experience the PANDA update simply cleaned up much of what EZA used to accept... like spun articles for example.

Again, I am not an expert on the subject yet by no means. My current focus is to master article syndication, as I am just learning the benefits it has to offer.

I'm not in any way saying not to use EZA or that you cannot gain benefits from it, but many use to be able to use EZA and nothing else to make a nice income. The PANDA update did clean up a large amount of crap, but it also caused EZA to change many things. It is harder to get an article approved there and in my opinion the benefits are not worth it compared to some of the other things you can do.

Concentrating on syndication is very smart, but there is much more to it than using any article directory. Don't get me wrong this is how I start sites and when they produce income for me I outsource a large amount of the work from this point including syndication.

The reason I use isnare before the article directories and recommend it much more than EZA is because they send your article to a larger list of directories along with many ezine publishers. This has brought me more traffic than EZA over the past year or so and I trust it more.

I still submit every article to EZA because it is included in my list of top article directories. I just don't see nearly as much traffic from them as I used to, so I don't stress it as much anymore.

Thanks for the clarification. I am always open to exploring every option, and your willingness to share your methods is greatly appreciated.

I had noticed you shared similar methods of those whom I have come to respect here, such as waiting for your articles to get indexed on your site before submitting them elsewhere.

Also, as a beginner, I like the idea of pumping out 40-50 articles and drip feeding them into a Wordpress site, this seems a great way to create and maintain a contextual flow of 'fresh' content being added.

I too use GoDaddy for my domains, HostGator for hosting, and Worpress as my primary platform for nearly everything I am working on.

No matter how you slice it, it's a lot of work.

You mentioned: "Now, if my blog makes money and show the potential I am looking for . . ."

Could you share more about how you determine "potential?"

Given this plan, what kind of money does a "keeper" make for you at this point?

It depends on the blog a little bit. If I am monetizing with adsense I am looking for each click to make me at least $1. It does not matter how much I make as long as each click averages close to $1 and my CTR is 10% or higher.

The reason I say this is because I know I can make more money just by driving more traffic. For example, if I were to make $20 over the first month of using this strategy with an Adsense blog and it came from 20 or less clicks and my CTR is 10%, then all I have to do is increase the traffic and I will be able to make more money.

Now if it is a review blog things are a bit different. I always wait to judge a blog with product reviews until I have at least 500 unique visitors. I really like to wait until I get 1,000 to take a good look at it.

If I am working with a physical product like a product from amazon, then I am looking for a conversion of about 2-4%. If I get this, then it is a winner. Another key with Amazon is to choose products that are higher prices so you can make a large enough commission for this to make you money.

If the blog is a review blog for clickbank or other digital products, then I am looking for 0.5% or higher from my conversions. If I get that, then I will ramp it up.

Also, it is important to know that I have had sites that I never touch after the going through this plan because they don't give me what I am looking for, then a few months later they will start to produce a nice little income. This happens quite a bit with Amazon review sites and at this point I start ramping it up.

Once I have a winner I outsource a large amount of the work including backlinkings, some of the writing, and content syndication. I still do a good amount of my own writing, but it is good to mix in a couple of other voices on the blog.

It really isn't any harder unless you find it hard to produce high quality content that can be used by the reader. Even in that situation you can always outsource the writing and do the rest yourself.

If you use the strategy above you will see improvements in your site. Just understand I don't set up my strategies to make large amounts of money overnight. It is all about the long term and how much I can make over the next 6 months, year, 5 years, 10 years, etc.

      CatherineMay,

No this is not true. I just automate it with the plugins I use. If you take the time to set up the Onlywire plugins, the FacePress plugin, and the TweetThis or Twitter Tools plugin, then you don't have to worry about doing it on your own.

They are all free. Onlywire will post your page to 20+ social bookmarking sites and the other two will send your post to a Facebook profile and/or fanpage and to your twitter profile.

This all happens automatically and once you sing up for the accounts through Onlywire you don't have to do it again.

I don't do any social bookmarking other than using these plugins, though.

Of course, many use social bookmarking at a higher capacity than I do and if the site is a winner in my mind (not Charlie Sheens...lol), then I will outsource a bit more of it later on, but I hate doing this part myself. It is time consuming and boring to me.

You can add in more social bookmarking if you want and you can expand on this plan as you see fit. I just try to keep it simple and if the blog produces the income/CTR I am looking for I will set up a second plan for outsourcing and expanding the blogs content and backlinks.

I really don't mess with any type of software. I outsource my backlink building and the majority of it is done by trusted members in this Forum with articles and with social bookmarking.

I never spin my content because it is a waste of time. I write for my readers and spun content can turn out really bad sometimes.

They say a week, but it sometimes takes longer. It just depends on how far behind they are, but if you use it regularly you will have articles going out quite often even if it takes them a while to approve.

Plus they don't just fire your article off to every directory and every publisher on their list. Some of these only take so many articles a day so over time your articles will get out there, which is good.

You are absolutely correct. It is necessary to have the best possible content you can put up. Your niche is important as well, but any niche that can generate an income, which is nearly all of them, is worth trying out.

Sure you are going to have some failures along the way, but within those failures you will find success. Plus any site that does not work for products can always generate some income from Adsense over the life of the blog/site.

This is a pretty good information however I do have some questions. I can see that you are using isnare for mass article distribution, so far the Platinum level worth trying for? Have you been encountering issues with their approval rate and customer service? since I have read in different threads that those are the usual problems encountered by many users. Platinum level worth trying for? - This is worth it if you plan to submit more than about 100 articles a month. They limit you to 10 per day, but that is 300 articles every month and you always have fresh content being approved.

However, if you only have a few articles a week to submit I suggest just buying a package of credits for submission.

Have you been encountering issues with their approval rate and customer service? - Customer service at isnare is pretty good. They approve nearly every article I submit, but it is a bit slow. This is not that big of a deal as long as you are submitting regularly you will have articles approved regularly.

I get a good amount of link juice from isnare. Content crooner is another good one and it can be beneficial to use both. I actually use a few other methods, but not until I know the site is a good one. This is just to get you started and when you have a good one expanding the plan to include more submissions and more methods is always a good idea.

Like I have stated before once I know the site will produce cash at a good rate I start outsourcing a good amount of the work for backlinks and about 50% of the writing for most sites. This frees me up to build a new site and continue working towards my ultimate goals.

I can totally understand if you prefer not to tell anyone.

      Here they are:

      ezinearticles.com
      goarticles.com
      articlebase.com
      searcharticle.net
      ideamarketer.com
      articlebiz.com
      amazines.com
      ezine9.com
      articlesnatch.com

Those are the directories I submit to on a regular basis. I will also use mass submission if the site does well, but that is something I outsource.

    Benjamin,

First --- "Thank You" for a great thread. Should you ever decide to run for a political office I'll vote for you --- at least four or five times :-)

Inspiring thread, Benjamin...I'm looking forward to implementing parts of your plan to support my affiliate marketing efforts. If you don't mind, of course!

A couple of questions, forgive me if you addressed them already...how much do you take competition into account when you do your keyword research? Is there a certain number of competing websites (either by looking at exact search terms in Google or using the "intitle" operator) that convinces you to back off or pursue a certain keyword to base an article around? I've been experimenting with various numbers myself and the results haven't been all that enlightening.

I don't really take competition into effect at all because of the type of submission I do. Sure I like to see my pages and posts on the front page of google for a specific search term, but that is not my only goal. Since I syndicate my articles with isnare and I use other forms of submissions as well I am more looking to write for the reader and gain traffic from sources other than google.

I do get a decent amount of google and other search engine traffic, however, but I don't really factor in competition much.

I used to get caught up in the numbers quite a bit and when I stopped worrying about them and just put out great content I started to see better results.

On the social bookmarking, you mention doing it on your site with plug ins, then you mention outsourcing it - are you doing both for bookmarking?

Aside from social bookmarking and syndication are you doing any other types of backlinking?

And lastly - what are these simple themes you like?
I use the plug ins for my main strategy, then if the site does what I expect I outsource the rest of it.

The simple themes I like all depend on the niche and the monetizing method I am using. I really like using the 2 column neoclassical theme because it is very easy to edit and has a good set up. I also use a couple of themes that are literally just white with black type for my adsense sites.

ok, ben, very nice post! Thanks for sharing this valuable information.

starting from here, the more i'm literally appalled after visiting your Master Article Marketer|Free Article Marketing Guide|Make Money with Article Marketing site from your signature.

i did that before reading your critique of the Lazy Cash Making Formula blog, so what follows has nothing to do with this. i certainly can't understand how you insist on quality so much and publish the following gibberish on your own site:

quote from the first paragraph post of the Master Article Marketer|Free Article Marketing Guide|Make Money with Article Marketing site:

"The truth is, 70 percent of the time everyone is researching for new things which they cannot know. The human being intellect thirsts nasze mazury to cud natury understanding. Hence, it is advisable so good and straight answers is supplied for your interested intellect. In addition, what are the intellect interprets is actually improper."

there is even a link in there, i guess it is from your outsourced writer?
another jewel in the third paragraph of same post:

"2. Examine, go through and read. The payday loan section of your quest really should be wasted looking at applicable home elevators your subject. "

            another strange link in there...

from the fourth paragraph of same post:

"3. Fully grasp what you've go through. You need to pozycjonowanie that looking at is in vain should you not figure out how to fully grasp or comprehend what you're looking at."

honestly, i didn't pozycjonowanie any of that and was afraid to click on that link in there... ...the anchor word reminded me of s.th. poisonous...

the second post has the following title:

"Affiliate Promotion Recommendations: Finding Via The Brain Freeze Moments"

            saaay whaaat???

            next post title:

"Very first You Need To Realise the top Picture"

            and below:

"One time Alice came to a shell within the street and spotted a Cheshire feline within a hardwood. InchesWhich street should i get?Inches she asked. InchesWhere by want to go?Inches was his response. InchesI'm not sureInches, Alice answered. InchesThenInches, stated the kitten, Inchesit matters not. When you don't know in which you are likely, any street requires you there.Inches (Lewis Carroll, Throughout the Seeking Window or Excursions of Alice in Wonderland)"

            yes, "Seeking Window" alright!

            small quote from this post:

"Top-to-base must vocabulary of effectiveness (How well do those who in fact carry out the work we do realize effectiveness dimensions? How well do our front runners realize effectiveness dimensions and might they use them correctly in foretelling of?)"

            next post title:

"As soon as you Don?t Have Period to Cook, Fastfood Coupons May help Save One Money"

have period to cook... my wife NEVER complained about that, rofl!!!

i could go on and on about the garbage in your blog, but you and anyone else can check it out over there, so I don't have to bore you and can get back to work!

so benjamin, i don't mean to rip your site apart, or maybe I do, but it is a good example of BAD BAD quality!!! no, excuse me: WORST quality, which shrieks of SCAM, Get Rich Quick Scheme, and Garbage to me, but most of all of SLOPPINESS and LAZINESS!

so i will say it once again: "It does not matter how many times it is said, it can be said again. QUALITY must be stressed. If you don't submit high quality content, it might as well be a waste of your time, money, and resources."

what a waste you have there, benjamin!

ok now, could you PLEASE tell us how this terrible mishap occurred? I thought you didn't like to spin your stuff! alice in wonderland suggests you used a robot translator!?! or do you just use some mean kind of autoblogger?

just my two cents and I don't mean to offend you, but we all have to learn from this: always review first before posting!

The speed is still slow, but I submit my 10 articles every single day. Once they start approving them I usually get about 20 to 30 approved every week, which is plenty for traffic and backlinks. I am not looking for speed from them since I am always trying to build for the long term and for the price you really cannot beat what they can do.

I do wish they were a bit faster, but I still see the results I am after. Patience will bring you the results you are looking for and with backlinks it is better to spread them out over time anyway instead of getting them all in one or two days.

Benjamin - Your strategy is excellent because it is centered in large numbers of blog posts and articles that are actually useful to the readers. My biggest block right now is that I'm writing all of my own content and I have to somehow talk myself into letting some of my profits go to outsourcing.

It will take me another two years to write 50 blog posts for all of my 25 blogs and write the appropriate number of backlinking articles. I just made myself really tired.

    Anyway, many thanks!

First off, isnare does not send you an email whenever they approve articles. They do send you one if they don't approve it. It is hard to pinpoint an exact time right now because some of mine are approved in just a couple of days and others have taken as much as 2 weeks for approval.

You are right the monthly membership would be a waste. You can simply buy a credit package and use it instead of wasting money on the membership.

Outsourcing is where it is really at. I do all of my writing up front, but I am a writer so this is the easy part for me. However, when I find a blog that makes money the way I want it to I outsource most of the other tasks and a good portion of the writing after the initial 50. You just have to find a writer you trust and start off small, if necessary.

I try to start a new site every month, but sometimes this can get hectic. One of my major weaknesses is I try to take on more than I can handle sometimes. I have had to really cut back over the past 6 or so months and work on one site at a time.

I have a handful of very successful sites, another handful of sites that do okay, and a few more that don't do much at all for me.

This is a powerful thread. The smart newbie will read through it all to see the successful actions.

I write content. I've seen it all. It took me until recently to realize how successful I was with some of my WordPress blogs. On some I do great and others not so bad but none are total failures. I needed to study more keyword research tools. I build WP blogs in a snap so I'm schooled there.

Quality written content is worth ten times its weight in gold pressed latinum ( Star Trek reference there ). The amount of clients I have who ask me to write for them is overwhelming. Not only that but I still have room to get new clients now and then. I started building more blogs this past week realizing that in a short time each one should be making me $500 per month if I just left them alone, mainly because the writing is quality, useful, and not just filler bs. People like an article they will Facebook link it like crazy. Just ONE FB link can make your blog.

So thanks big time for this thread. It is a life changer.

I am glad you like the thread and you just hit on the exact reasons why I made this post. I used to start projects and never finish them. This was a bad habit I had to break and when I took the time to put this plan to work for me it paid off big time.

I have never seen so much success from my own sites and the best part is I can outsource the second part of the strategy and take a site from a couple hundred a month in income to well over a thousand.

The smart newbie or oldbie for that matter will work this plan without worry of making a dime. They will trust it and work it until they have finished it. Then, they will take the data gathers from their work and make a judgement call. If the site is doing well they can continue with more posting and more backlinking. If not, then can leave it be and move on to the next one.

Either way this plan is how I got where I am and it is my main strategy now.

I don't spend a ton of time here and I only use the Google Keyword Tool. My goal is to write, write, and write more. I do write for specific keywords in every post, but I don't really look at competition or monthly searches all that much.

      Thanks for sharing your method.

On the social bookmarking, you mention doing it on your site with plug ins, then you mention outsourcing it - are you doing both for bookmarking?

Aside from social bookmarking and syndication are you doing any other types of backlinking?

And lastly - what are these simple themes you like?

    Awesome post!

This works - I pretty much do the same thing in some niches - add in guest blog posting for authority sites and you are sorted.

I think it is a shame that most people will not get past the write 50 posts!

    Benjamin,

Can I ask how long you've been at this? Although you've described your process well, there are quire a few layers of complexity. I have just started to explore the attributes of article marketing and there is obvioulsy much more to it than meets the eye. Kudo's to you for sharing some great information! I try to do the same, as helping others get where they want to go helps yourself get to where you want to go. I've definately got some catching up to do...

I know you already found your answer, but I thought I would expand on it a bit anyway.

Depending on the niche I will start with 3 to 5 posts a day scheduled over the first 5 days. Then, it is only 1 to 2 from there per day.

It is a shame and usually the first one is the hardest to get done. It amazes me how many people get stuck with the writing part. If this is where someone is stuck they can always outsource it, invest a little money, and get some high quality blog posts to use.

This specific strategy I have been using since May(2011). Before that I had another strategy that worked great, but had to be adjusted with everything Google did this year. Plus I started to learn new methods myself.

Just make sure you are working with ARTICLE SYNDICATION not article marketing. They are quite different and syndicating your content will bring you many more benefits than just focusing on article marketing.

I really do not try to get reciprocal backlinks to be honest. Backlinks are a bit of an added bonus and so is Google ranking for me. I concentrate on getting actual traffic from the syndication.

Article writing is still something that is required by digital marketing agencies, especially for SEO so i think there's a market although Google are looking to downweight the content of these which may result in ranking drops.

This plan is not all about getting ranking on Google. It is more about gaining traffic by using Article Syndication, Press Releases, and Quality Content. Gaining high ranking on Google is a bit of an extra benefit.

A few questions for you Ben...

If the .com is not available in an EMD, do you prefer to add a word to it or go for the .net or .org. For example, if your keyword is acne cream and acnecream dot com is not available - would you prefer acne cream dot net or bestacnecream dot com?

On the difference between article marketing and syndication. Do you consider article marketing where you put your articles on sites such as EZA and HOPE that someone picks them up for syndication. And isnare a site where you know your article is sent out so it is syndicated?
How are you distinguishing the difference here?

Also are you are posting the EXACT same articles on your website (after they have been indexed) to article syndication sites?

Aside from the 2 col.neoclassical theme, can you share some of the names of the plain ones you like to use?

Very nice ideas here Benjamin. I am doing pretty well with my methods, but I definitely plan to revisit iSnare!

Hi, firstly - thanks for the amount of info on the thread, as someone relatively new to IM this is invaluable information.

At the moment I'm working on one site, not submitting as many articles you and not up to speed on my website design . . . I do have a steady flow of articles (more like one a day, I'll probably increase that after reading this). What I wanted to know is, for the future, is whether you individually host your websites, or get a multi domain host. I've heard pros and cons of this, with website loading speed being the negative, and obvious cost being the positive.

Domain name / website age seems to be important enough for me to purchase / host possible future websites (possibly with a static, blank maintenance screen). Would you recommend this, or would you say stick to one website at a time?

          Thanks alot

I currently have two hosting accounts more in case one gets hacked than for any other reason. My traffic is not to the point where I need to switch away from Shared hosting. When you get to the point of getting 200 - 300 hits per hour you need to do this, but I am not there yet.

I usually work on two websites at a time simply because I get burned out on writing for one after a few articles and need to switch it up a bit. I don't recommend working on more than 2 at a time, however, because that is how you end up with 15 domains with 5 posts each making you very little cash.

I have never had this problem. I can remember a time when they were not allowing any more premium memberships as well. Like I said before I used them for a very small amount of articles a few years ago with very little results, but they have certainly done something right because I get great results now.

They are a bit secretive about their methods and where your articles are actually sent, but this does not bother me much. For the price I get the results I need and want.

I would also recommend taking the time or spending the money to start building a list of ezine publishers of your own so you can get more syndication. I try to make 5 to 10 new connections every week and figure after a few years I will have a nice list of ezine publisher that know who I am and what they will get from me. This will give me even more leverage and as I stated before you can also expand and use other sites similar to isnare.

Thanks for posting this thread. This looks like a great way to get traffic with syndicated articles.

It is really important with this strategy to pick a niche that you can write about from a lot of different angles and/or covering numerous topics within the niche. A micro niche such as "Pink bunny slippers" would probably be hard to write enough content for.

This is why you should not be afraid of competition. More competition usually means more topics to write about, and also more buyers.

Article marketing is using articles for backlinks and traffic specifically from the sites you put them on. Article Syndication is sending an article to a site like isnare or another site similar to it that will allow the article to get in the hands of publishers. You can also build a list of ezine publishers to use as well, which I am still working on.

However you could start with Slippers and choose many types including pink bunny slippers. You are correct about competition and many new marketers make that exact mistake. The only niche I recommend avoiding is the IM niche until you are successful within it. Any other niche is free game no matter the competition.

Thanks for responding. Can I ask what approach you would take to writing 50 quality articles on a niche like slippers? How would you come up with enough topics to write about that would be interesting enough for people to want to syndicate/clickthrough (from a syndicated site or ezine)?

This is obviously a very tight niche, but this is how I would attack it.

There is probably enough history about slippers out there to do 3 posts on just the history of slippers alone.

I can also do at least one post on the inventor of slippers as well.

          46 more to go.....

Now we can go into specific name brand slippers, different colors of slippers, slippers for men, women, children, boys, and girls. Yes this is where getting creative is necessary, but if you take a look in the google keyword tool there are quite a few terms for slippers that get a good amount of searches.

I can probably do 20 posts on what I just mentioned so now we have 26 more to go.

Slippers are also a part of fashion and can be a part of a costume. I would do a few more posts on this, we will say 5 more here, so now 21 more to go.

Next, we can concentrate on the comfort of slippers and specific slippers are are good for your feet. I bet three each in these areas would be pretty easy, so 6 more here. That brings us to 15 more to go.

We are getting a little low on ideas here, but we can still talk about the slippers different stores carry and the cost of different types of slippers. This is easily another 6 posts and that leaves us with 9 to go.

Now we can get into the materials used to make types of slippers for another 4 posts and finally we can write about different animal slippers for the last 5 posts.

I could go on and on. Just to give you an idea if you search for "slippers" in the google keyword tool and we check the "Only show ideas closely related to my search terms" box (while logged in) we get 706 different keywords. It is not all that hard to find 50 choices consider you have 706 to consider.

If I did a site like this I would start with 10-15 pages and they would all be product reviews on specific slippers. Most likely I am going to pull these products from either Amazon or a retailer at Commission Junction. If I am looking on Amazon I will target both new products I think will be hot and those with high reviews. I would aim mainly at well-known name brands because they price point will be high and I can make more money per sale from them.

NOTE: NEVER NEVER NEVER buy a domain name with a name brand in it unless you have written permission. This will cause you many issues.

Wow, thanks for that. Definitely a ton of ideas there. One question I have is about writing articles on specific brand names. Aren't these types of articles likely to be rejected by most article directories?

Not that I'm planning on targetting that specific niche, but I do have some physical product type sites that I need to scale out.

They may be rejected by some of the directories, but there are many ezine publishers and blogs that will take them. Not every article you write will work on every directory, but it doesn't have to.

    Good point. Thanks.

This gives me ideas about how to scale up a site I have that markets physical products that sell for $1-4K. These probably have a lower conversion than other products with lower price points, but with enough targeted traffic it could be really worth it.

Putting out more content with this method will give you more traffic for sure. Just make sure it is high quality content or it will not bring you nearly as much traffic.

    Benjamin,

I like what you're saying in this thread.

I was wondering if you could give some examples of what you refer to as "high quality content" as that phrase seems rather subjective on the Interwebs.

    Thanks!

      Thanks!

      Chris
It can be subjective and it depends on what you are writing. The best definition of High Quality Content is content the reader can use. Here are a few examples of what this means.

      Product Review

If I am searching for a specific product and I find a website with a review of it I don't want to hear all the good things in a sales pitch for me to buy that product. That is not High Quality Content. That is simply someone trying to sell me on the benefits of a product.

A high quality product review will give me the positive, negatives, features, benefits, price, and maybe even a few real customer reviews. It will give me the chance to make the decision as to whether the product is right for me or not.

      How To Article

Since How To articles are very popular one that would be considered High Quality is one that a reader can use. If I am looking for instructions on How To install a new program on my computer I simply want an article that breaks down exactly how to do this.

Another good example of this would be if you are searching for How To relieve something or cure something. The last thing you want is information about a drug from your doctor or an article pushing one product on you.

High quality in this instance would include a few ways to cure or relieve whatever it is and will give the reader good information they can use to make a decision on how they can move forward.

Basically your reader is coming to your blog or finding your content on another site for a reason. If you write an article that gives them nothing they are searching for or very little of what they want, then it is not High Quality.

High Quality also needs to use proper grammar and good spelling, but this is not as important as what you actually are giving the reader. You can make a few grammar mistakes and I actually ignore some rules because I aim for a conversational tone in my writing, but you have to deliver usable content for the reader.

This is the hardest thing for most marketers and writers to figure out because they are so concerned about using their keyword phrase enough times, including links, selling the reader on something, getting listed high on the search engines, and following all the So Called SEO rules that they forget to write for the reader.

If you forget about the reader it will not matter how high you are ranked on Google or how much traffic you get because they will not enjoy what you have to say.

Make your content usable for the reader and answer the concern or question they are searching for answers to. This is high quality content and yes it is subjective, but if you write for the reader you will already be miles ahead of all the other people writing for Google.

I have never in my life heard of Google reading an article, blog post, ebook, or anything else. Google is not a buyer, a consumer, or a person, so why would you write for Google?

It is really hard to give an estimate of what I make from each blog because there is such a range. This really depends on the niche and how much work you put in.

My first piece of advice would be to use the free resources online to get faster at typing. I can do nearly 70 words a minute and this helps me fly through content once I have done my research. Also, find a few credible sites for your niche you like for research it will speed up the process.

I try to follow a structure that gives three headings, short paragraphs, and bullet points when possible. Usually between 600 and 1,000 words, but sometimes a little more or a little less.

It depends on what part of the software niche you are talking about. I can write within this niche, but tackling it can be done in many different ways. This is a HUGE and general topic that can be broken down into many niches.

I have been using similar tactics and article marketing for some time. It really works. And if you find a niche/specific keywords that works then I always go for extra profit. First of all split test with site design and secondly if everything seems perfect I start to work on SEO and maybe even do some PPC.
*The main idea - scale on the niche or specific keywords that have made you money before.

This is true if your main goal is to pay for traffic and use SEO tactics. However, if you are trying to use Article Syndication it is not nearly as important to worry about the keywords. I try to use them as a subject point in my posts and the content I syndicate and nothing more.

Many new marketers get so caught up in SEO and writing for Google they forget to write for the reader. This is the danger of using a keyword. If you read through the entire post you will discover many things that are not in my original post that can help you tremendously.

PPC is simply not part of my strategy because this traffic does not react and convert the way I would like for me. It can work and I have used it very successfully in the past, but it is not part of this strategy.

Yes I do affiliate work with many different products along with Google AdSense as well. Right now I would say writing for others makes up 2/3rds of my full time income and the rest comes from my own work. It is slowly evening out and the goal is within a year to no longer HAVE to write for others, but CHOOSE to write for others.

I use Ezine as well and I mentioned that a couple of times throughout this thread. I just don't build my entire marketing plan around them because they are not nearly what they used to be.

I believe in getting my writing in front of as many eyes as possible and prefer these to be publishers. I know there are still many that count on Ezine Articles for content, but there are so many other outlets as well. I would urge you to at least take the time to look into some of these outlets and not count on Ezine as your lone place.

So you send an article to iSnare and they send it out to a number of content sites. Or you send out a press release to a number of sites. Or you post your content on article directories.

And then where are these articles being found by your readers - in the Google SERPS? Or are these readers going directly to these sites and looking for articles on these topics?

There is no OR in the plan. I write 50 blog posts, submit them to my blog, then to isnare, the article directories, and a handful of other places. I write a separate press release for each site and submit it to a handful of press release sites.

My articles are found on both the search engines and the article directories, but I get large amount of traffic from ezine publishers and other blogs that use my articles in their newsletters and on their blogs.

Benjamin, in your first post, you said you look for keywords with 5000 searches and low competition, and later in posts #52 and #68, you seemed to discount the whole issue of competition altogether.

I would appreciate it if you could elaborate more on this subject, as it has been a really confusing one for me for a long time. Some people say that if you know how to do on-page SEO, and write good content, then competition is basically irrevelent. Do you agree with this?

Or if low competition is a something you seriously look for, then how do you determine this...by checking page rank and backlinks of the first page of sites that rank for your keyword, or just the number of pages when searching for your keyword in quotes?

I would love to hear any further thoughts you have on this issue.

Yes I write one press release for each site and submit it to around 15 free press release sites. If the site does really well I will go back later and use a couple of the paid sites as well.

I do try to concentrate on lower competition keywords because they are easier to rank for and bring in more targeted traffic. I also try to keep my keyword phrases at 3 words or more each.

Competition, however, is something I only pay a little bit of attention to. Since this plan is designed to get traffic from many areas other than the search engines competition really does not matter much. However, I still use a little bit of SEO on my pages just to get the added benefit of Google, Bing, and Yahoo traffic.

I spent a couple of years so caught up in the numbers I forgot to just write. After seeing a drop in my income and realizing I was writing for Google instead of my readers I changed my mindset and stopped looking at the competition as much.

Sure when I build my keyword list I try to avoid the higher searched keywords, but these are also usually more general. They will most likely get targeted without you even knowing it and if you get some ranking great, if not it is not that big of a deal since this is not meant to be a plan to get you to the top of google.

Many have posted threads here stating they are ranking in the top 3 for a highly searched phrase on google and getting a ton of traffic. However, they cannot figure out why the conversions are so low. It is usually because they are ranking for something very general and the traffic is not very targeted.

Don't spend much time worrying about competition or how many times a keyword phrase gets searched for. This type of work will cut into your writing time.

Benjamin, I have a couple questions for you if you have a chance. first you mentioned that your main goal is to have 50 post for your site, and once there indexed you submit them for article syndication. Are you literally submitting your blog post to the article directories the same but with a who am I part at the end of the article.

Also you mentioned if your doing a review style site, you should make each product its own page, how many products are shooting for when doing a site like this?

Also do you submit your post to Digg, or other social bookmarking sites? Thanks Roc

Thanks for sharing. This technique seems to fly in the face of some of the common ideas circulated about article writing. My understanding of the general consensus - it seems to be frowned upon to submit your own content as an article after it has already been indexed on your website. Although it does fulfill the goals of syndication, most people would say that the chance of it being indexed and showing up in search results are very slim, since it already exists as content on your site. That would mean that you are relying on the traffic circulating within the actual article website to search and find your articles (inside of the website and not using google). From my experience you'd be lucky to get a couple hits a month, even in a big site like EZA for instance. Which must mean that your traffic is coming from the smaller syndicated sites who have a small user base but a focused niche, which your article happens to fit into. Also, the links to your site would probably not pass much, if any link juice, since they're not getting indexed?

So I congratulate you on having a system that works for you, but I'm confounded to think that this seems to be a system contrary to conventional thinking. If you spun the article content, wouldn't you have the advantage of gaining real search hits from google? Perhaps the content would be less meaningful or readable but you'd compensate for that with higher search volume and the benefit of a juice-carrying backlink (or several).

I'm not picking at your idea, believe me. I'm just curious to expand on a method which isn't seen as typical in the murky world of article marketing. And I do fully understand the concept of building content with a reader in mind, and I'm not advocating the use of spinner software that turns a well written base article into mush.

    Cheers!

I think you have fallen prey to the common "duplicate content myth" that is spread around in IM.

First, sumbitting articles to your own site FIRST means that you are MORE likely to get Google traffic. This is because if Google sees the same article on many sites, they are more likely to show the most authoritive copy. Usually, this is the copy that was indexed FIRST.

Second, you are correct in saying you won't get much traffic from article directories. The truth is, you don't WANT people reading your content on article directories unless they are publishers looking to syndicate your articles. This is because the clickthrough rate for article directories is horrible, so you would be losing most of your traffic.

Thirdly, Google will index AND give backlink juice to most if not all of your syndicated articles on relative niche sites. Not only that, but because the backlink is on a topically related site to yours, the link juice is BETTER.

Finally, I'm sure that Benjamin will agree that this strategy is not mostly about SEO. It is more about getting targeted referral traffic from highly relevant sites. SEO is a side bonus.

Also you mentioned if your doing a review style site, you should make each product its own page, how many products are shooting for when doing a site like this?

Also do you submit your post to Digg, or other social bookmarking sites? Thanks Roc
Yes same posts with NO changes to the directories and sites for syndication.

Usually with a product review page I aim for 10 to 15 to start and if it is successful I might double that later on.

This is the entire reason for my plan. I no longer rely on just EZA and a couple of directories.

It used to be and many could make a living only submitting to EZA. Times have changed and EZA does not care as much about their writers anymore. They took away many of the things that benefited the writer.

      Cheers!

      Rooze
Read the entire thread and you will learn how much I care about getting traffic from the search engines. SPINNING is a technique for writing for Google not the reader. Google has never once bought a product or clicked on an ad of mine, so why in the world would I write or spin for them?

If you use your blog posts properly you can pull in more traffic from article syndication than most ever get from the search engines.

My final remark has to do with this so called "conventional thinking". I don't worry about what others say works, but what I know works for me. Also, if you look at the top people in this forum using articles they talk about article syndication not article marketing. There is a huge difference.

Hey Ben....first of all, thanks for answering my PM. Much appreciated!

I do have a question, though, and maybe I missed this somewhere in the thread. If I did, I'm sorry. You say that you post the review to your site and then to isnare and then to EZA and a few other article directory sites but you don't spin and it's the same article. I thought EZA didn't accept "duplicate" content? Maybe I'm missing something here.

    Thanks a bunch!!

EZA and all other article directories do accept duplicate content.

This is a myth that keeps coming up again and again, even though EZA clearly says that they allow content that has been previously published.

EZA has lost most of their rankings due to the low quality content since the Panda update.

I've seen the decrease in article views to up to 80%. Has anyone else got the same experience?

As long as you have it in a place giving you credit you are fine. Sometimes if you put an article under one name on another directory and try to submit it to EZA under a different name they will call you out on it.

Yep me too. This is why they are the last place I submit. Always to my own site first, then isnare, then other article directories, and last EZA. I don't even submit everything to EZA anymore because they are a complete pain.

Ben...you write, I think you said somewhere here earlier, about 600-800 word posts and/or reviews. Do you post the entire review or do you abreviate it? Take my site that you looked at, for instance, I do product reveiws that are 800-1000 words...submit the entire thing to isnare?

I post the entire thing. Sometimes if I have a bit of a sales pitch in the final paragraph I may take that out, but other than that I post it all. I recommend, however, doing some general articles you post to your site, then to isnare. These will pull you in some good traffic and are easier to get publishers to use since they are not product specific.

UPDATE: Just trashed over 100 posts from Authority Link Network. That site is garbage and they don't provide anything worth using. I will not be using them anymore and I didn't even make it through the testing. I do appreciate this content being pointed out to me so I could remove it.

ok, ben, very nice post! Thanks for sharing this valuable information.

starting from here, the more i’m literally appalled after visiting your Master Article Marketer|Free Article Marketing Guide|Make Money with Article Marketing site from your signature.

i did that before reading your critique of the Lazy Cash Making Formula blog, so what follows has nothing to do with this. i certainly can’t understand how you insist on quality so much and publish the following gibberish on your own site:

quote from the first paragraph post of the Master Article Marketer|Free Article Marketing Guide|Make Money with Article Marketing site:

“The truth is, 70 percent of the time everyone is researching for new things which they cannot know. The human being intellect thirsts nasze mazury to cud natury understanding. Hence, it is advisable so good and straight answers is supplied for your interested intellect. In addition, what are the intellect interprets is actually improper.”

there is even a link in there, i guess it is from your outsourced writer?
another jewel in the third paragraph of same post:

“2. Examine, go through and read. The payday loan section of your quest really should be wasted looking at applicable home elevators your subject. “

        another strange link in there…

from the fourth paragraph of same post:

“3. Fully grasp what you’ve go through. You need to pozycjonowanie that looking at is in vain should you not figure out how to fully grasp or comprehend what you’re looking at.“

honestly, i didn't pozycjonowanie any of that and was afraid to click on that link in there… …the anchor word reminded me of s.th. poisonous…

the second post has the following title:

“Affiliate Promotion Recommendations: Finding Via The Brain Freeze Moments”

        saaay whaaat???

        next post title:

“Very first You Need To Realise the top Picture”

        and below:

“One time Alice came to a shell within the street and spotted a Cheshire feline within a hardwood. InchesWhich street should i get?Inches she asked. InchesWhere by want to go?Inches was his response. InchesI’m not sureInches, Alice answered. InchesThenInches, stated the kitten, Inchesit matters not. When you don’t know in which you are likely, any street requires you there.Inches (Lewis Carroll, Throughout the Seeking Window or Excursions of Alice in Wonderland)”

        yes, "Seeking Window" alright!

        small quote from this post:

“Top-to-base must vocabulary of effectiveness (How well do those who in fact carry out the work we do realize effectiveness dimensions? How well do our front runners realize effectiveness dimensions and might they use them correctly in foretelling of?)”

        next post title:

“As soon as you Don?t Have Period to Cook, Fastfood Coupons May help Save One Money”

have period to cook… my wife NEVER complained about that, rofl!!!

i could go on and on about the garbage in your blog, but you and anyone else can check it out over there, so I don’t have to bore you and can get back to work!

so benjamin, i don't mean to rip your site apart, or maybe I do, but it is a good example of BAD BAD quality!!! no, excuse me: WORST quality, which shrieks of SCAM, Get Rich Quick Scheme, and Garbage to me, but most of all of SLOPPINESS and LAZINESS!

so i will say it once again: "It does not matter how many times it is said, it can be said again. QUALITY must be stressed. If you don't submit high quality content, it might as well be a waste of your time, money, and resources."

what a waste you have there, benjamin!

ok now, could you PLEASE tell us how this terrible mishap occurred? I thought you didn’t like to spin your stuff! alice in wonderland suggests you used a robot translator!?! or do you just use some mean kind of autoblogger?

just my two cents and I don't mean to offend you, but we all have to learn from this: always review first before posting!

        kind regards,
        tom
This is called testing out a new site that I did not realize was going to put up posts having nothing to do with my site. It is also due to having no internet for the past three days and having to rely on the occasional coffee shop stop to get internet.

I am going to be removing the Authority Link Network posts from that site. I was unaware of what this site was going to do and it is not benefiting me in any way. I don't recommend this site at all, but I had to test it after comments I read in the forum.

They don't really tell you they are going to post all kinds of garbage to your blog when you sign up. It is called a learning experience.

You seriously don't read anything do you. Read my response above and learn to look at the entire site instead of just one post.

WE ALL TEST THING!!!! They don't all go well and sometimes you have to learn the hard way. After reading a thread about how great Authority Link Network is I decided to try it out.

It is obviously crap and every one of the posts you decided to review came from there. NOT MY WRITING!!!! They were spun garbage and anybody that has half a brain could notice that.

Maybe next time you should take more than 5 seconds to review a site and you should actually read the responses before you post anymore

You call me lazy, but you don't even take the time to click on a category and look at a post that is older than a day. You also didn't read anything I said above.

I really don't care if this hurt my reputation as anybody that has been in this game before understands you have to test things sometimes to learn whether they are good or not.

I have thought about it many times and even messed with an earlier version a while back. I am not sure it is for me, however. I type really fast and my thoughts come out much better with typing than trying to speak.

Thanks for the recommendation and I do recommend this type of software for those that cannot type all that fast.

you are damn right I didn't read your update, because when you posted it at 5:00 I was still writing the next post - which I posted at 5:03! So much for the SHOCKER!

hey Benjamin, sh*t happens! just one thing: learn to accept critiques and you will be better off in life!

about your writing: i never once said you WROTE the posts on your blog!

c'mon, i'm cool and have NOTHING against YOU! But it was YOUR blog, so stand up for that responsibility, testing or not (another BIG lesson here: test on non-essential blogs).

I am curious to know how much you think you can get done each hour in terms of words. Like I said my fingers are fast and this is why I am reluctant to invest in this type of software.

I haven´t used it for a while, coz I upgraded to windows 7 and couldn't get the upgrade, but I was definitely 4 or 5 times faster than typing.

the most important part is to have a headset with a quality microphone and relatively quiet surroundings - or train the software in the same noise as you will work in later, but near silence worked best for me.

the cool part is that your writing style changes, because you write as if you were talking to a person, which in turn is positive for connecting in a more natural manner with your prospects

    Ok, cut Ben some slack.

It's obvious that those were not written by him.

It's also obvious that he doesn't want that crap there and has already taken it down.

I have used these types of plugins in the past as well and they do tend to spout out garbage.

Thank you for defending me. I would have taken the garbage down sooner, but I have not been able to access the internet as normal. It has been a once a day coffee shop thing for the past couple days. Also the reason for the lag in responding to some of the comments from yesterday and earlier today.

What kind of plugins would you recommend?

I don't recommend any plugins that auto generate content or automatically builds links. The only kind of auto linking plugin I would consider is something that automatically bookmarks, tweets, and posts your stuff to a Facebook fan page when published.

I would probably do well with Dragon because I might be able to think more freely as I speak than as I type.

I have heard some training horror stories though.

I am a court reporter and use Dragon Naturally Speaking each and every day in my courtroom. I love it and I hate it at the same time. It takes months and months of training to get it to do what you want to do. Some days it is right on. Other days, it looks like gibberish. That being said, if you are a horrible typer or you just plain hate it, give it a try. It really has come a long way.

ok, training took me less than a few hours, so there must have been some hardware problem there. i really recommend this software very much!

gibberish results from external noise, at least i had that problem. so you train the software again in the noisy environment (reading for 10 minutes or less) and bingo!

Hey Benjamin, you don't have to defend yourself on the interwebs, I think that you're a cool guy with a lot of great information...one of the few out there that will actually clarify what they're suggesting in a way that makes sense to everyone.

Keep helping people out...that's what this forum's all about!

Nice strategy. But if I submit my blog post to several article publishers, will that be considered duplicate content by google?

Free webmail does not mean much to me since I get as many email accounts as I want from HostGator with each domain name.

Thank you and you are right. I got my start from this forum like many others and I love giving back to this community. I just get irritated with people that want to rip something apart before they really look at what is going on.

No it is not. Duplicate content is much different and there are actually threads listed further up in this one that explain it very well.

There are some article directories listed above in the thread. You may have to search a bit, but I did post some at one point.

Here are a couple of the press release sites I use:

First, I would like to thank you for sharing all this information.

Next, I am confused on the duplicate content. I know we need to post to the site first and get indexed. All the article directories you submit to will take what is now "duplicate" content?

I have two questions, 1. How much traffic did you get monthly using this strategy 2. You mentioned you're making money with Adsense too right? How much you earn per day?

Yes, they will accept articles which you have already published on your own website. This has been answered numerous times.

It is not duplicate content.....look back in this thread and you will find out what duplicate content is and what it is not. It is also explained very well by Alexa Smith all over this forum.

Traffic completely depends on the niche and so do the conversions of that traffic. Again, with Adsense it depends on the niche and Google does not allow us to talk about how much we make with Adsense....part of their TOS.

Why not write for your own site and then distribute them to EZA, Isnare, and all those other sites? You can have your cake and eat it too.

I completely agree and after testing a few bad plugins I will hever use another auto poster.

I was in the same boat back when EZA was actually much better, but now it is all about the syndication through better methods and building your own sites.

You've been extremely generous with this thread, thank you for all time and sharing your methods.

I'm not sure if you're still checking in here, but I'm wondering what you do differently with AdSense sites in terms of pages, posts and promotions.

I am checking every couple of days. The major difference is I don't do any pages due to using adsense instead of reviewing products.

Is it due to the fact that isnare can take a while to make the submission? Or do you find that they aren't accepted at a number of the top sites through their own submission process versus doing it yourself?

    Debbie
isnare does not tell you where they send their articles. I just use about 10 different directories just for my own peace of mind. If isnare sends them there as well they will just get rejected....not a big deal.

I use isnare more for the publishers they send it to and not the directories.

I use all of this too and talked about using it. I do like the way you target keyphrases, but I write for my visitors more than for Google.
