What Would You Offer Your List for...

Hey warriors!

So I'm building a solid list at about 10-15 ppl a day by offering a free video seminar. I'm then following it up with an email campaign which gives great content and links to my sales letter for an ebook and bonus video/reports which I'm selling.

I'm not nearly converting at the rate I feel I should be, so I want to poll my list for feedback. I was thinking of straight up offering them all my ebook for free in return for comprehensive feedback on why they hadn't bought or thoughts/suggestions on my site, sales letter, etc etc.

I want to get into their heads, but do you think offering my book straight up is going too far?

What would you offer your list in order to get responsive and detailed feedback?

Thanks warriors for your suggestions!

Try to sell your ebook first using the free video seminar as a bonus. Sounds like you are filling your list with a bunch of free loaders who will never buy from you. Asking freeloaders for feedback by giving another freebie is a waste of time. Let them know what you are selling upfront. You probably won't get as many subscribers, but they will be more targeted to buying your product line.

hrmm, thanks for the thoughts myob. I do see your points and that is definitely one possibility. Anyone else have thoughts on it?

By the way, my marketing funnel is currently: video market, offer free seminar, get them to sign up, show them sales letter through content rich emails. Does this not sound reasonable? Am I giving too much away?

that's not a bad idea, have you ever tested that before? Do people get skeptical when something valuable only costs a buck?

    Mad Dawg,

If you are building 10 to 15 new opt ins a day, I wouldn't change a thing. That many a day is hard to achieve so if you have stumbled upon something that gets them in, then keep it going. I would treat them for a couple weeks with good solid tips and info and then hit them with a product that you like.

A good list will bring you $1 a month per subscriber. In 200 days, you'll have a that can bring you $2000 to $3000 a month.

Keep up the good work. BTW, can I opt in to your list?

    Regards,

    Jonathan

Thanks for the reply Jonathan. Yea you can opt in to my list by clicking the link in my sig...but I have one question.

Would you hit them solely with info and content for the first few emails before ever pitching your sales letter to them? I have been hitting them with good content and then telling them my sales letter is the end all for their problems at the end.

Let me know what you think. Thanks!

You've got a great squeeze page there! Looks like you're doing it right. I would follow up with emails like you said, but you can only send so many emails to your list promoting one product--they'll quit opening them if you keep promoting the same product--even if you give great content.

I might send them one email a week with a link to your product and a second email promoting a related product as an affiliate. You might get some kind of inkling as to how well your product converts as opposed to the other.

I'm on tons of lists--I subscribe so I can keep up with that the self-proclaimed gurus are doing. There are very big names in IM that send emails out 4-5 times a week promoting affiliate products. I think that's way to much--but twice a week seems to work well.

Like I said, you've got a SUPERB opt-in page. Stick with it!

thanks for the feedback mike. I think i'll definitely try your advice before i try making people pay for the seminar.

I'll just pick the one or two products that I know are super quality, and interchange promoting mine, then theres, then mine etc, while lowering my frequency of emails (i currently do 1 every 2 days).

Hopefully this will give me the boost in conversions I need. Thanks!
