A Few Things Me and Other Full-Time Marketers Understand...

The Biggest Tips that Will Save You Years of Frustration.
  1. Build a website or blog that solve a major problem for free.
  2. Build initial traffic with 1-2 methods taught on the Warrior Forum.
  3. WOW your visitor <---have a "cool factor" about your site.
  4. Offer even better free info for an opt-in email...make it something to be remembered. NOT generic.
  5. Build a following, by giving away better free info in your niche than most people charge for.
  6. Once you have earned the trust of a large group of people, expose them to the best 3-4 products in your niche (not every new product-of-the-week....just the top 3-4 products). Do this in an autoresponder sequence spread over a period of 30-60 days.

To make a REALLY large income?
  1. Create better information products than our currently in your niche.
  2. Make them convert better than your competition.
  3. Promote your own products after you understand what it takes to market affiliate products well.

Don't Get Stuck in "Tool and Method" Overload!

This is the #1 mistake I see here in the Warrior Forum. The main bulk of your time should be spent creating the best darn info and products for the end consumer. Do that well enough and your trickle of traffic will become something big.

A Dead Business Model--->The Autogenerated Content to Attract Traffic...Which You Can Then Funnel to an Affiliate Product or CPA Product

This stuff worked up until about 2009. It doesn't work anymore! The sooner you ditch that business model and focus on creating quality memorable sites that help people...the sooner you will do well online.

good call. Im learning that most marketers are just looking to make a quick buck by automating content. In turn, they actually hurt the market they are trying to serve by delivering weak material.

Or ... identify a major problem and sell the solution.

While you list a possible marketing strategy, you're giving away YOUR expertise and hoping to make money by referring sales of other people's products.

Isn't that what you want other people to be doing for you?

If your expertise isn't worth a dime (literally) then you may also not have as much success getting others to rely upon your recommendations.

    @kindsvater,

I agree at some point you should create your own product...but I find that you will have a much better understanding of how to market your product if you are already a successful affiliate in your niche.

The "give away better free stuff than what others in your niche charge for" technique...is the fastest way to move ahead of your competition.

Or just market better than your competition. Does anyone really think Pledge is all that much better - if at all - than other spray polishes? Or that most brand name supermarket products are all that better than store brands? Or that a Rolex is actually a better watch than many much lower priced options?

      It's the marketing.

Here is the meat of your post.

Give value to others, and you will benefit financially for doing so.

    It really is that simple...

But people get confused on that point.

Value is not always the best price, but more often the best offer.

Yes....in everything you do online deliver quality to the end user or reader. This will get you much further than writing or marketing for the search engines. Afterall, who is the one paying you?

I would say the #2 mistake is spending too much time in forums...

Ahhhh....this is also true. I used to get stuck in here for hours upon hours. now I allow myself one hour a day either split into 4 15 minute breaks or 2 30 minute breaks in here.

It is important to manage your time well and that even comes with the time you spend in the forum.

Couldn't agree more on this, since I am too time vaster and right now I am trying to claim my free time and do some other life important stuff like "learning to fly" (according to Pink Floyd).
