Clickbank sales disappeared, anyone else?

I had never worried about posts like this much before because I hadn't had much to be taken away, but now for about 4 weeks I've been selling a consistent 4-5 ebooks per week and been quite happy with it, even if my conversion rates weren't stellar. Then, for this past week, nothing... just a whole bunch of zeros : (

I know it could be fluctuation but it felt like I was really finally getting some steady passive income... then this.

Anyone have any words of encouragement/have dealt with the same thing? Do sales return eventually? I would like to avoid the frantic opening of a new CB account and swapping out of links that I hear about, but I'm also not a big fan of zeros.

I'm a Clickbank vendor and this happens on a regular basis. I can be cruising along making a steady 4-5 sales per day and then make just a few sales over the entire next week. All on the same quantity and quality of traffic. It always seems very non-random to me and *not* just normal variance. But it has happened so many times, it has become a way of life for me. And yes, I'm in day 4 of a huge slump in sales right now.

I'm a vendor too and have experienced the same thing over the years; there seems to be a definite "clumping" pattern to it though: everything is okay for a while... then sales (both affiliate AND non-affiliate) rapidly dwindle to virtually nothing... it stays that way for another while... and then, suddenly, a big clump of sales seem to happen all in one go... and everything then continues on okay for yet another while... until the next slump, and the "process" starts all over again.

      Tommy.

Are you saying this as a vendor or as an affiliate?? If you are an affiliate then you maybe need to check how you are driving traffic and maybe take a look to see if the vendor made any drastic changes to their page.

If you are a vendor and your sales are dropped then it maybe because your affiliates weren't making money on it. Perhaps they drove traffic at it (which brought you sales), but maybe they were losing money and so they stopped their promotion. Alternatively if they we sending email blasts maybe they just moved on to the next product.

As an affiliate, my ClickBank sales have decreased over the last 2 weeks. I have good rankings and traffic but no sales...

Honestly, I think it's normal. Your sales can go up or down at any time, for any number of reasons. Do you know what I do when the numbers on my ClickBank dashboard seem to be going down? I figure out ways to make more sales. It's good that the fluctuations get you worried. That's real motivation.

It doesn't help that people talk about replacing their affiliate links and voila! having sales again, it becomes more tempting with each day that goes by, even if it's just a placebo effect and you were about to make sales anyways.

How long does it typically take for you guys to be back to your past consistent sales? I know cases will vary but I'm just trying get an idea of if I'll be looking at zeros for another week, if about a week is what you see, a few days? Thank you for your input everyone!

Hmmm.... my guess, heavy scrubbing again. Hence the changes to the refund/chargeback policy.

Again only a guess, but my guess is their merchant account is squeezing them.

This seems a bit reactive to me.

I see sales peak and trough all the time. Its natural.

Do your split testing, analyse your data closely, THEN make changes based on actual figures.
