Vimeo Video = SLOW page load times

Hey guys,

I've had a vimeo video in the top or my right menu as a pitch for optins for a while now.

Just the other day I typed my URL into a website page load time tester tool and it showed that my homepage loaded in 20+ seconds.

This is ridiculous because 1) my page is streamlined to load quickly (all images have been reduced and its a simple wordpress theme coded well) and 2) 20+ seconds is F&%^#&G slow!

I looked into it further and its the video loading on autoplay that is causing the issues. The page loads quickly but the vimeo video takes FOREVER to load (20+ seconds).

How can I get this page load speed down? Should I record and upload a lower quality video?

    Seany...you are right.. It takes time. I think the speed depends upon the server. You can ask them to fix if any issues. I'm sure you are having good repeated visitors and low quality video will not be a good advice. Try youtube if possible.
