It kinda looks like Times New Roman or Arial black.

Not sure though, but check out www.dafont.com maybe you can find something you like on there.

You could either ask the owner Peter Drew or
      checkout Font identification - forum | dafont.com

You can post a picture of the font there and maybe
one of the experts there can help you. I've posted
a question about a font there before and there's
some people there that really know their stuff!

I never claimed to be some web designer, and I know absolutely NOTHING about fonts.

I wasn't posting to get my sig shown. I was posting to try and help him. Which is why I told him to check at dafont.com (by the way, I love how you cut that part out of your quote)

By your failed logic, I could say the same thing about your post - You're just trying to get your sig shown.

You've done NOTHING here to help identify the font for this person - instead you whine and complain about other people's posts who ARE trying to help.

PS: Why the hell would someone asking about a font be interested in a Twitter program? You're kidding right?

Go troll someone else kid. Me thinks you're a sad person in real life.

You quoted ME when you said
Me thinks a sig showing is reallllly important to some
    NOT him.

I know you werent directing the part about web design at me - I just wanted to throw that in there to explain why the font I picked is probably wrong.. I have no idea about fonts. lol

That looks like Tahoma, done in Photoshop with 2pt white stroke and drop shadow. Marketing Graphics Toolkit has some Visual Headline modules that can replicate this. I think version 2 has this one. I know this because i'm using it right now on my WSO.

I said what I said because I thought you were directing your post about the sig at me. After all, you DID quote me for it. Maybe you meant to quote the other guy, I don't know.

But look at it from my point of view. I'm not gonna sit here and let someone run their mouth when I was just trying to help this guy out.

Whatever.. it's done, its in the past.. Honest mistake on both our parts. Let it go.

The font has been discovered, he got his answer, this thread shouldn't even be in this section to begin with.. just let it die..

Here's a good resource for identifying fonts:
Identifont - Identify fonts by appearance, find fonts by name

Using their analysis, the font is called "Myriad Headline"

ok maybe i should clear it up a bit..I'm really more interested in the style of the font..how it has the outline and the shadowing.

I'm really wondering if there is a font of this type available for install, so i can easily type it out in photoshop and just save it as a .png instead of making the outline and shadowing myself

i've seen this font type on several sites lately. mainly from sales pages, so it seems like they know. but the main question is, is it a type-able installable font or is the text created with outlines and shadows

      * Type your words (in photoshop).

      * Choose Myriad.

      * Double click on the layer to get to your effects

      * Stroke - 2pt white (depending on how big your font is - make it 24-36 sizes to match up)

      * Shadow just enough to show behind the white

      * Gradient the blues top light bottom darker - same with the other color combo.
hey thanks for that, trying to find out how to do this was driving me nuts. i like the impact of the text and will try to duplicate it..thanks for the explanation
