WF's Rules @ Sig Lines

I have developed a blog on a non-IM topic - generally having to do with 'health & wellness'.

I was tinkling of using its URL in my signature line in the WF. But I'm not sure if that's OK. So I asked a Warrior-friend, and he said he wasn't sure. But he thought only IM-type sites/URLs could be used in a sig line - and that even if the WF's rules don't disallow non- IM stuff in sig lines, that a lot of Warriors might get down on me for doing that.

Could somebody - hopefully some knowledgeable, senior (and friendly ) Warriors help me out with an opinion?

Thanks!

Richard

    Hi Richard,

If it's your domain (and not an affiliate link or redirect of an affiliate link), then YES... you can put it in your sig file. Sig links don't need to be IM-related.

    Cheers,

If it's your site you can have a link to it in your signature.

Everyone has their own areas of expertise...so it follows that as your signature should showcase what you do, non-IM topics would be allowed as well.

    Hope that helped!

Just a tiny point of clarification: That's not completely true. The mods can (and have) disabled select members' sig files for breaking various rules. So it's a privilege to post our sig files, but we're not entitled to it.
