Hi all,

I joined this great forum since Mar 2008 but I actively visited and started posting since few days ago. I just want to say that I am deeply regretted that I was inactive for so long. In this fews day, I learned so much from this forum.

This is my first thread in this forum.
I've two domain name, CashForte.com and HomeBusinessJunction.com. I've no idea what websites I will build for this two domain names.

If you have ideas, please kindly tell me.

Thanks.

    Hi sjukun,

I think you're starting this process slightly backwards (I'll explain that in a moment)...

Those names sound like "make money from home (online)" type names. I'm sure people will suggest to you all sorts of sites you could build, like biz opp sites, affiliate review sites, a blog about biz opps or "make money online," etc.

However, here's what I would suggest to you...

Instead of starting with a domain name and trying to figure out what sort of sites to build, start by finding a hungry niche market. When you find this market, figure out what they're ALREADY buying -- and either give them more of the same, or something similar.

You can find a hungry market by starting with niches you know about or have an interest in, and then researching them to see if they're profitable. Things you can do:

    1. Go to WordTracker.com or any other keyword tool to see what people in the market are already searching for.

    2. Go to Google and look up these keywords -- see what turns up in the both the organic search results AND the sponsored (PPC) results.

BTW -- seeing plenty of PPC ads is a good thing, as people generally don't spend money on ads if they're not making money in the market.

Anyway, visit these sites and see what they're selling. Get on their lists, follow their blogs and join their forums, too. Then see what marketers are already promoting, plus "eavesdrop" to see what members of the niche are talking about.

    3. Check out marketplaces and search for categories and keywords related to your niche (again, find out what people are buying). Marketplaces include places like clickbank.com, Amazon.com, eBay.com, etc. You can also check out places like Commission Junction and LinkShare to see what sort of products are sold in your niche.

Once you've figured out the market you want to sell to and what you're going to sell to sell to them, THEN choose a domain name that fits... and build your site.

    4. Investigate these sorts of things offline, too. What stores cater to the niche? Are there ways you can talk to this niche offline? (e.g., if you're looking into a bodybuilding niche, then join a gym).

There are other ways. But the above steps will give you a good start.

    Cheers,
    Becky

    Hi Becky,

    Thanks for your suggestion.

I agree 100% with you, but these two domain names (and 40 more) are from my "dormant" domain name flipping business.

I got HomeBusinessJunction.com (altogether with other 5 domain names which I discarded later) from eBay auction for just 1 dollar and I registered CashForte.com after I lost in eBay auction for SalesForte.com which had quite high winning price.

    Thanks,
