Hi guys,

Your opinions are wanted...

I have had this product up
for over a month and I have
not even had one sale...

What do you see, that I may be missing???

Adobe Photoshop Actions : Photoshop Action

Maybe I just need to REALLY look it over
and spice it up... it came to me as PLR!

Let me know,
Jamie

In my opinion I think people can get the very same type of
    photoshop action scripts for free.

Also they would still have to design the templates before the play the action script and not many persons have the ability to do that.

Some people would rather pay someone to do a professional work for them.

So It all depends on how you market and who you market to...

    Hi Jamie,

My hunch is that there may be no "starving crowd" for this.

Many of the people who would want an ecover but don't know how to design it, may not have photoshop in the first place. Or they'd rather pay someone $47 or $97 or whatever to have a professional design it than invest the guide and then put in the time to create it.

Anyway, sorry you're not getting a bigger response, but sometimes it's not the copy -- the market may be just too small.

    Hope you turn it around.

    Best,
    Alan

Maybe add a video of the script in action. That way people can see it in action. Plus you have to own Photoshop maybe a lot folks don't own that since it's an expensive software for non-designers.

It's also hard to say without knowing where you getting traffic form.

No reasonable advice can be given until:

    A) we know how much traffic this page has got
    B) where the traffic is coming from

I see a few fatal flaws in the copy, so as the offer is buried, no hook or excitement to get their attention, no really strong "irresistible offer", etc. but I am not sure where to start giving advice until I know more about the traffic first.

1: There are many free programs that can create eCovers.
2: It's cheap to get someone to create a custom ecovers or grahpics for you.
3: Your site looks like it was made in 1998.

But yeah.. a video will certainly help.

I would say that's not a "maybe" but a "for sure".

The ecovers that are shown on the sales page are very low quality with very little appeal. Anyone looking for an ecover is looking for something with a lot more pazzaz!

As has been stated already, most people do not have the design skills (or even own PS) to put together really attractive graphics, so the actions, by themselves, are of little use. Unless you are going to include some super graphics or at the very least some very good videos to explain how to achieve excellent quality graphics, no one is going to jump on this.

    Just my 2 cents.

It might have something to do with the fact that a very similar, if not identical, product was in several giveaways over the Christmas period.
I got the programme together with eight instruction videos (90+ minutes) with resale rights - for free.
The sales page that came with the product was very professional and included several excelent example CD covers.

You might not like what I say - but I believe it.
Build it, make money, then build some more
Some old school smarts would help - and here's to Rob Toth for his help. Bloody good stuff, even the freebies!

    No details...

    How much traffic? 100, 1000, 9000?

Where is the traffic from? The source is more important than the volume.

Also, maybe I missed it but are all the examples of the scripts on the page? There are other action script packages out there that offer a lot more scripts.

But really, we'd need details before we can offer any more advice.

    Hi Jamie,

It is a professional-looking sales page, but here are a few things to consider:

    1) How many other people are selling this same package, using the same web page? You did say this is PLR and you can be sure others have it. How popular are your competitors' sites?

    2) What is your traffic flow? Where are you promoting?

    3) The intro isn't really very enticing. It lacks excitement - benefits. ie: You Can Make Fantastic eCovers And Save Hundreds of Dollars on Graphic Designers - and you can make them whenever you wish with a few clicks of your mouse.

    4) The sample of how you put a book together shows a good book at the end, but your samples lower down are boring and unimpressive. Boost those samples so they include good graphics, color, etc. Right now, they look really flat.

    5) As someone already mentioned - creating a template? I use Photoshop and even I don't know what that means.

I purchased a set of Photoshop Actions last year and was never able to use them. For one thing, they are not compatible with my version of Photoshop - but also because I really have no idea how to use that feature.

But I think my first 5 points are most important for you. Certainly, the price is right. If I could use them, I'd buy them.

How about using Google Analytics or the free version of CrazyEgg, or some other
testing tool to see where your traffic is coming from...or if you're even getting
traffic. That would be a good start.

      Hi,

Lots of great input you guys... especially you Sylvia, TY!

Traffic has been coming from Google since the second
day I put it up and for most phrases first page, and
      otherwise second and third page!

I have also done a bit of TE surfing, using the
main page and a splash page found @:
Adobe Photoshop Actions : Photoshop Action
(which again I don't think has been clicked)

Other traffic has also come from a few forums
and even link-dropping pages and the like
(classified sites, CL, all that type)

I don't do/like articles, but that is somewhat irrelevant I
would assume as I am getting the hits from Google already!

      HHMM...

Don't waste your time with Traffic Exchanges. People aren't interested in anything other than running up credits so their own pages get viewed. I went that route at the beginning - wasted tons of hours - the only clicks I got came from Traffic Swarm - no sales, though.

If you are getting traffic from Google and not making sales, then you still need to do something else, like article marketing. You need to make your offer stand out from the others, and so far, it doesn't. There are many people selling the same type of product and it's easy for yours to get lost.

Try looking for other forums besides this one - maybe a forum where people are looking for graphic designers or want design help/advice, etc. and getting the word out there.

        Sylvia

PS: If you are getting a lot of traffic, it probably is not targeted to your offer. Take a look at your keyword relevancy, meta tags type stuff so that Google lists you properly. Then, people who are really interested will drop by. Pumping up your intro will help a lot. Get them excited right away. Let them know that they are on a site that is going to answer their needs - and it will be easy - no experience required - ebook covers in a jiffy, etc. etc. If you are getting relevant traffic, they just aren't getting drawn into your offer.

It's not just a case of how much competition there is selling this book. It's how many offers are actually GIVING IT AWAY as a bonus for buying something else. ...that's what I've noticed. I've run into this (or something that looks like the product) an awful lot.

And, since this is a graphics product, the graphics should be outstanding, which these are not. Boring, dreary covers, instead of something "hot" and contemporary.

Is this the standard PLR sales letter that comes with the product or have you customized it?

I think your sales page is pretty cheesy. You'd be much better off with a video describing what your actions can do and then making the offer.
