Can too many affiliate links hurt you?

I am still dealing with a Google slap down and I'm trying to figure out why. One question I've been tossing around is this:

I have a product review (usually 800-1000) words on a product. I have a picture of the product hyerlinked to Amazon. Two times in the article body I have hyperlinked text. Then, after the body of each article I have pictures of related products (sometimes 5-15) with each picture hyperlinked to Amazon.

Do I have too many affiliate links per page. Or, is there a "secret recipe" of how many links should go from a page?

Thanks guys.....still plugging along but getting very discouraged.

Yeah I think you have too many affiliate links. Google may have slapped you because of that reason. Try limiting it to 1-3 links only. One in the head of the post, body and conclusion. That should be perfect enough. I'm not really familiar with Google PPC and it's rules but it would be worth checking out.

  • Google doesn't like like too many affiliate links on the web site. Matt Cat has mentioned in his speech, when they see too many affiliate links on a site, they guess this site is made just for making money and gives a little value to users
