What is wrong with this forum?

Maybe it's just me, but why does it constantly say: "The server is busy, please try again later." And the WF won't even load in Firefox, it says it keeps redirecting.

Simply sending a PM or reading the board is headache-inducing now.

What is going on?

It may depend on your internet speed but you have to realise there are a LOT of people accessing the forum. I find it slow sometimes and I am just patient as I can't do anything about it.

I have been unable to access the Warrior Forum in the normal manner for probably a week or more. All I get is a message informing me the server is in a perpetual loop.

I have resolved it by clicking on an old saved link to a post and that loads right away.

I access the internet via Time Warner Road Runner's fastest broadband connection and prior to this, I've had no issues at all reaching the WF.

I just got a mac and have not been able to access warrior forum. This is the first time I got to this site in the last week. I hope this is just a temporary problem as I love this place!

It could be something to do with the individual connection and computer.

I am on Frontier broadband and run Firefox, and I have not had any problems accessing the forum.

Though, I have no idea why it would always work for me and not work for others.

Whatever it is, I hope it gets resolved soon for those who are having difficulties. I have had problems accessing other websites in the past, and it is no fun. Especially if the site is extremely useful, such as WF is.

Success is an endless series of falling down and getting back up again. Sometimes, you fall a little less. Sometimes, you fall a little more. Keep getting back up. Keep moving forward.

I didn't know it was so bad ... I did get logged out unintentionally, once, about a week ago, which took about 5 seconds to fix, but that's been my only recent problem using the forum.

(I'm in Europe, and using Firefox, and Windows XP home edition, and am technophobic and incompetent, and if "internet stuff is going wrong" it will normally affect me more than other people ... but I do have a very fast fiber-optic cable internet connection - so maybe that's very relevant, here?).

        Very Interesting.

Never once did I run into any of the problems listed above (well, very little delay when I hit on "Post Reply" button). No database error, no server busy messages. And I access it every single day !

i get this too occasionally as well every day or two..

Its either "database error" problem, or just plain out not being able to access threads and forums in firefox.

I usually wait 20-30 min before I check in againwhen there is DB error, and when there is error accessing threads, a simple logout and login back would clear that out (or clearing the cache on your browser)

Basically, the main problem could be the database. Next to take into consideration is the Internet Connection. My problem with WF sometimes is when I log in, I was often ask to change my details because WF is upgrading some system.. ( I guess) .. as it says..

Warrior Forum will not load for me as well. I was actually searching Google on what happened, found this thread, and it actually loaded. First time I have been able to get on in about a week. I believe it is a problem with the server. I hope this can get resolved.

I started a thread about this issue yesterday in the Off topic forum because I've been having the same issue for about a week now: the perpetual redirect issue if I try to access the main URL for WF, but if it's another inner page or individual post, I can access it fine.

      very strange.

It's been going on for some time now. I can access the warrior forum with Firefox but it takes forever and the same thing with IE. So I install chrome and set the warrior forum as my homepage and now that doesn't work.

The only way I can get in is through Google and type in the warrior forum. Yesterday I sent a note to the help desk and they told me they were aware of the problem and working on it.

Last night was the first time I have been able to access this forum in about 5 days. I tried on FF, IE, and Chrome several times every day with no luck. Then last night it was fine and still is today. In over 7 years as a member that is the only time I ever remember that happening.

My problem is that the forum won't let me stay on any one page for more than 5 seconds before it redirects me back one page. when I click into the WSO section and then click on a post I can only read it for about 5 seconds before it boots me back to the main WSO listings page. Very annoying!

This is happening to me on both my home and work computers so I'm pretty sure it's not something local to me or my computer.

Is this happening to anyone else?

I'm not getting the above mentioned problem, however I am getting the page redirects error. I thought the forum was completely down. What I have noticed with the site is though, that once I have logged in I can access any thread or page within the site no problem, and the issue disappears.
Like others, I had to access the site from the SERPs with an actual warrior forum thread URL.

I haven't had any problems at all and I know why. It's because I'm an Old Geezer and everybody on the WF loves me. Not only that I type so slow by the time I get my post done all the problems have been resolved.

And beside all the good stuff and love I get from the WF you have to make sure you stick your :p out the right way. If not you will be placed in perpetual WF loopdaloop.

And besides that don't forget to suck up to a moderator at least twice a week. Don't go for the little guys. Shoot for the top. Something very subtle usually works such as:

WOW! PAUL MYERS IS SO SMART!!!!!

As you can see my results from using this technique really work. I have no problem at all.

I've gotten the redirects error before, and that's with using different browsers even. I got it with both Chrome and IE. It would say something like "the page you are trying to access is generating too many redirects, please try again later." I couldn't even get into the forum. The way I finally got in was to do a google search for a particular post and then get in that way. After that, all was well. It IS definitely a problem though. I wish they could figure out what is causing it.
