Casting Call! Using Actors for Youtube videos (what is "buy out")

Hi Warriors!

A quick question on the idea of video salesletters and promotions. I know a lot of people are uncomfortable about recording themselves on video, has anybody hired an actor for their films?

I'm planning to, but I'd like to learn a little about the acting industry first.

I've heard the term "buy out" and seen it in contracts - could any famous actors (or a warrior who knows) tell me about this and if it's relevant to online video?

Thanks in advance for the help, the best answer wins an Oscar...

  I should have been more specific with my question.
  
  I've seen people discuss "buy out" with regards to TV, but I have no intention of ever using the video on TV, just on Youtube and my site. Am I still going to have to pay an actor a "buy out" fee every year or so?
