PLR paid membership sites... are there too many already?

Ok. I've been mulling this over for quite a few months now and have decided to launch a paid PLR membership site. The thing is, there are so many out there now (plus free ones) that I'm a little hesitant. The competition is probably fierce, and since it will just be me contributing to the site, I'm not sure I can outmatch those with a team of contributors. It's just not possible for me to pay for content at the moment, yet that would probably be the best approach. Later, maybe.

My plan is to limit membership so everyone on the block doesn't get everything, and the packages would only stay available for 2 months.

I'm curious to know what other Warriors think, ie: how to make my offer stand out above the rest without turning me into a Mad Hatter trying to meet impossible goals, whether it's worth it considering the competition, etc.

Thanks.

Sylvia there will always be a market for unique products with quality. If you can produce that, on a regular basis, you're set. You don't have to try to outdo the "mega memberships". Just promise what you know you can produce without putting a strain on yourself and price it accordingly.

      Thanks, Barry...

So here's the idea. Membership fee $14/month with access to 40 professionally-written original keyword-targeted articles a month. Of course, if they join mid-month, they would have access to 80 new articles in their first month because they would run into the second month. I'm not sure if I'd have enough time to do a report with each set, along with graphics (banner, ebook cover), but I'd like to. Might revisit the idea after the site runs for awhile and I get into a routine.

Does the price and 40 articles sound reasonable, or would people want more for the money? Oh, and I thought of keeping it to 100 members.
