Affiliate Offer Questions

Hi Warriors,

I have a client that sells infoproducts. This November he's going to launch his new infoproduct and sell it on Clickbank and on his own website. Now he want to create an affiliate offer on his own site. Allowing publishers to become affiliates and earn commissions for every sale.

Now I need guides and tips on how to set up affliate offer on your website. Here are my questions:

1. What do I need to track affiliate campaigns?
2. How can I track the conversion of each affiliates?
3. How can I set up a payment method that automatically pay affiliates after sales?
4. What are the recommended softwares when having an affiliate offer?

If you have time. Please tell the step by step process of setting up an affiliate offer. If there's a WSO that covers all of this, please give me a link too.

Thanks in advance guys,
Gem Franco

you could use a third party biller like CCBill and they come with all the software you need, or direct everything thru clickbank. Thats the easy and cheap way

(RAP) Rapid Action Profits could be an option. Depending on "How many" products the Infopreneur has, it could save him a fortune and it's all built in.

You can learn more here: http://rapidactionprofits.com/ (*Not an affiliate link)

On that note, I personally haven't bought it yet. Therefore, I really can't walk you through the set-up as you've requested. I have investigated RAP and from the outside looking in, it looks amazing.

However, as opposed to paying for each product, and then losing any fees CB charges per sale, using RAP eliminates a good deal of the costs, and allows you or your client to maintain control over payouts to affiliates (up to 100%)

...But more importantly, it pays the affiliate instantly to their account at the point of sale and divvies the monies, and removes the vendor (your client in this case) from any tax burden or 'reporting' paid income amounts, as affiliates receive their money instantaneously making accounting much easier. *Each party is then responsible ONLY for the money they receive.

Also, I have no solid testing obviously as I have yet to employ the RAP option, but I know damn well, I often look for products to promote that payout instant commissions!

Meaning, it can attract a large army of affiliates quickly, as I would imagine others would like some instant gratification for their efforts as well.

If I remember correctly, it too allows for tracking campaigns, CTR, and has all the analytic features buildt-in. Again, I am probably in over my head here, as I haven't purchased RAP yet.

I am still exploring it myself, and mean no disregard to CB, as I will likely use both as my ingenuity catches up with my ideas.

    All the Best,

    Art

    Good Luck.

    Hey Art

On that note, it's a bit complex, on the programming side, so I personally haven't bought it yet, as I will probably have to 'outsource' the initial set up. *I'm not a programmer. Therefore, I really can't walk you through the set-up as you've requested.
I don't know where you heard that, as there is NO programming required with RAP.

RAP already has all the programming needed. All the RAP user does, is use HTML to create his/her sales page, download page, etc. (and there are templates supplied for that)

There are certainly some things that you may want to outsource. I outsource all my graphics, because I suck at that. Someone who doesn't want to learn HTML may want to get someone else to set up their pages. But the use of RAP itself, is simply a matter of reading the manual, and filling in web-based forms.

    Hope this helps,

      Thanks for Chiming In Sid!

      ...and for correcting me.

My sincere apologies regarding the 'programming statement' as I had NO intentions to 'misrepresent' RAP.

***I have since adjusted my post accordingly.

More than likely, it's my fault for believing (false) information I picked up 'outside' the RAP website during research.

None-the-less, I am an admirer of your work and will be purchasing (RAP) just as soon as my first products are ready for launch.

With that said, if anyone has any questions; Sid Hale is the man to ask about RAP!

      All the Best,

      Art

PS- Sid Hale, Thank-You for the link to iDavi affiliate product list...WOW looks awesome!

Do RAP covers all needed tasks for affiliate program? (from affiliate sign up to affiliate payment) I've seen some softwares that automates all the process but all got kinda high monthly pays and we can't afford that since we are just starting.

Gonna check this RAP software and see if it's good for newbie

I use RAP meself for my site over at Virtual Coach - Smarter Tips For Better Living and it's awesome.

Everything you need to do wrt affiliate management...it does. Beautifully too. Integrates with your autoresponder, does the upsell, downsell, etc., and also has a fantastic support forum too where you can ask all sorts of questions.

      I can definitely recommend it!

When I make a sale as a ClickBank vendor, it does the same thing. The affiliate's portion of the payment never appears in my balance - it goes straight to them. So doesn't the same thing apply there?

      I'm hoping that it does.

Nope. RAP pays *instantly*, you don't have to wait 2 weeks for the money to arrive.

        Hope that helps!

You have to take into account the number of products(?), transaction fees(?), and the the fact, a new affiliate in Clickbank has to wait 3 weeks to receive their first payday...if they are not already an established CB affiliate.

When you take into account the Clickbank costs, it may be cheaper from a vendor's perspective for say 1-2 products. But, once you start adding multiple products, and those sales increase there's a transaction fee for each sale. So in the long-term that too can add up fast.

Clickbank Vendor Costs here: ClickBank Vendor Charges

Again, it boils down to personal preference, and I too have heard of Nanacast but don't have enough knowledge of their system. I do know a fellow Warrior; Josh Anderson is the expert on that one.

Gem, look at "Nanacast.com" It is much better than Clickbank
and is exactly what you need.

It's a shopping cart that has one of the leading affiliate systems.
They also protect affiliates from 'Affiliate Theft' which plagues Clickbank.

I was speaking only in terms of my tax liability as a vendor. I probably could have been more clear about that.
