Direct linking from youtube to amazon ? Any idea ?

Hey,

I wanna start a video campaign for a specific niche, but I was wondering if sending traffic directly from the video to the product page in amazon is a good idea ?

My concern is that I'll be losing a lot of people if i sent them to a review page in my site then to amazon,

What do you think guys ? any idea if it could work ?

I have a big budget for this video campaign, the videos will be professionally made with quality reviews and high def voice over, and the investment that I'm putting into them is what makes kind of careful about the best way to use them

Thanks a lot and have wonderful day
Hamza

    Always send traffic to a link you control.

    For example, instead of sending it directly to Amazon, send your traffic to:

    http://www.MySite.com/product

    Inside this subdirectory, put a php redirect file, "index.php" that has the following simple code:

    <?php
    $url = "http://www.amazon.com/productName?affiliateID";
    header( "Location: $url" ) ;
    ?>

    Then, if Amazon changes their link, or you find a better product to promote from your video, you can change your php redirect in seconds.

    This method also allows you to simplify your links and hide your affiliate ID.

    I have started experimenting with having my own link in the resource box below the video but also putting a free clickable ad direct to the product page at Amazon in the video (learned how to do that on here somewhere)

    Hi,
    I'm thinking about doing this too, but is it this kind of re-directing against amazon policy? is it safe for doing this with your amazon account?
    thank you.
