    Be careful!

I don't know if they still charge the same amount as the used to, but come renewal time, you could be paying $34.95 per domain.

I know, because I bought a bunch of domains from them years ago. It was only $2.99 per domain, but then a year later...BAM!

So, be sure to read the fine print before getting a domain from them. In fact, that advice is true of ALL registrars.

    All the best,
    Michael

Don't forget: if you take the time to read the TOS - you will know Yahoo! is NOT a registrar, it will register the domain with a real registrar in your name +keeping itself as the billing contact... meaning the registrar will bill Y! for $3 and Y! will pass that on to you as $34 LOL

You must be dumb not to deal directly with registrars...

Even though that's a good price, my experience with Yahoo on other matters has not been good. And it's a big jump for the renewal price. If it's slips your mind a year from now, all the savings will be lost then. Just not a big Yahoo fan. :-(

So true. I did it for years on a few domains, but then cancelled them (I had them all on auto-renew) or transferred them to GoDaddy. Maybe being overcharged by Yahoo is why I'm a fan of GoDaddy now.

      All the best,
