Here's Quite Possibly The STUPIDEST Mistake I've Ever Seen...

Hey everyone,
Thought other people might find this funny...

So I came across this outright scam type salespage on getting rich quick:
Get Rich Quick | Make Money Fast | How To Get Rich Fast

Check out the clickbank earnings screenshot - Through the roof.. lol
Now check out the screenshots of the checks...

The guy didn't even create a thumbnail so if you view them seperately and zoom in you can actually SEE that they are for like 60 bucks each.

Link to the enlarged shot here:

This is quite possibly the biggest oversight I've seen and is once again testament to the fact that a lot of clickbank screenshots are faked.

Just thought I'd share this... I found it interesting anyway

So are you saying he's doing that while actually logged into Clickbank?

I know with FireBug you can make changes and they will show up in the Browser so you can see what they look like.

Oh, I looked at it again after reading the comments on YouTube - yes, he's just doing it in a Visual WebEditor

Just to add to the list of retarded mistakes on this salespage, check out the terrible bonuses he's offering along with his product. He's offering products which are probably free and making up ridiculous retail values for them like $67.95 for this and $59.75 for that. Can't remember the exact numbers, but it's still sad to think that many people will actually fall for it.

Not too many people, judging by the size of his checks...

Dan's content is irregularly read by handfuls of people. Join the elite few by reading his blog: dcrBlogs.com, following him on Twitter: dcrTweets.com or reading his fiction: dcrWrites.com but NOT by Clicking Here!

Dan also writes content for hire, but you can't afford him anyway.

Turns out as dumb as the owner is, he's rather good at SEO and has landed himself #3 on Google from 'Get rich quick'

I say good on him! Number 3 for "get rich quick" can't be easy, and he must have put in a lot of work. Better than many people in this industry. Actually, I think the video is pretty good!

    Still, stupid..

His page/layout itself is quite good (minus header).

This makes me wonder how many other marketers pull off scams like this...but are just more careful w/ screenshots and know how to conceal their scam schemes.

And he didn't block out his home address and what product produced the CB sale.

I'll bet you could use his address to do a GoogleEarth search and see his million dollar house.

In fact, I think I'll go do that right now!

Edit - I plugged in the address of the house across the street from his address so the GoogleEarth cursor wouldn't block the image of his house. It think it is the same house in the video! I'm judging by the shape of the roof. On Google Earth there is what I thought a group of trees in the front yard, but then I realized it's the shadow from the house and no trees are blocking the front.

It is in a nice, upscale neighborhood. I'll bet it's his parents' home.

So this guy's been caught red-handed! just goes to show what a slick sales letter and some hype can do.

I've bought a number of products over the years and I would suggest there would be a couple in there which have also bulls--ted their way through the sales pitch like this guy. Funny when it's highlighted - thanks George.

    hehe.

It's shocking really. I've watched a short expose on another CB seller before.

It was while back for a betfair related product and the video showed how they'd clearly doctored the racing results for that day to make their account look like it was in profit.

shame I can't find the URL.

      Ouch!

Wow, that's a bad mistake. Whenever I see images I like that are obviously pixel-ated, I right click on them to see if there is a larger version. Wow, this guy could've easily taken his full size images and re-sized them with IfranView. One minute to resize. One minute to upload. Done. Nobody would've been the wiser.

I loathe scammy stuff like this. It makes the whole industry look bad.

Not only are the checks for very little amounts, but who saves three month's worth of checks just sitting around the house? Don't most people deposit their checks...especially if they are for very large sums of money, like these checks are "supposed" to be? Obviously, he wasn't using his Clickbank money to pay the bills.

      Hi Angela,

If he lives somewhere other than the US, he might. As I am charged a single fee by my bank for a maximum of six foreign-currency cheques at one go, I keep US-dollar cheques until I have a total of six to pay into my (UK) bank account. (That is, unless they are going out of date or I have a cash-flow crisis...)

Here's the scenario that is probably really happening...

You are seeing his parents house in the video, because he still lives at home with them. Also, he asked his daddy to borrow the Porsche for 5 minutes.

Another Warrior & I were talking about this. He lives 10 miles from this guy, in Canada. (the home address was on the checks). He drives by it all the time. He recognized the house immediately.

B.S. Artists! He says you can do this, too, in just a few hours a day...

He must be talking about the few hours he spent putting this video/webpage up.
