Googlenator bot: Take out every threat even though it is a very small threat lol.

Be the only search engine in the World, then rule the World! Isn't that what the brain wanted to do on the cartoon pinky and the brain? lol

Google has way too much power for any 1 company it is getting ridiculous.

On the other hand if you can do it then why not?

I hope antitrust laws would be used to prevent that from happening.

Didn't they try this before a few years ago and had anti-trust issues? I wonder what has changed now, hmmmmm....

Google and Yahoo probably belong to the same owners. This is what usually happens behind the competitive camouflage. The best companies create a strong competitor with a few differences, which becomes the second best company in their field, so that they won’t face serious competition from other companies, and completely control the market.

They simply pretend to be competitors.

Microsoft didn't buy Yahoo entirely, just its Search Division.

That's right..That's why most of the searches of yahoo are the same with Bing.

I love the design and function,
I'm not usually one to complain, but the "upgraded" version of Yahoo mail that I was forced to switch to has been nothing but trouble for me. Attachments don't work half the time, and that's just for starters. Maybe it's working better for you, though.

LoL.. Google is trying to takeover complete online market and want to become one and only one masterpiece for answering your any query. Look at what we warriors are keep doing, trying to get our website on the first page by doing hard work and what happens Google keeps changing it's algorithm. And we have no option instead of keep struggling for that position.

If Google will become one and only one search engine in the world(which is around 70%-80% done).. i believe online world will start working on Google terms only.

I am in complete agreement with nearly everything in this thread concerning The Almighty G's "Conquest to Rule the World" -accept for the last part of the highlighted area above.

You certainly do have an option... stop relying on the 40% from the #1 position. You can draw laser targeted traffic through several methods taught throughout the Warrior Forum for starters.

It pains me when I hear people are 'hell bent' on the sole reliance of Google for their livelihood, and while I use Blooger, YouTube, Google Search, Keyword Tool External, Analytics, Webmaster Tools, ....[takes a deep breath]... I don't rely on them for my traffic!

I prefer article syndication, article marketing, free advertising, email marketing, etc...

A good start for weening oneself from the titty of "G" and the greased ladder leading to that infamous and ever-changing #1 position would be as simple as searching this forum for article syndication threads...you might do a double-take on the information provided.

      I did!

Hope this helps someone 'escape' the dependency mentioned above.

      All the Best,

Google needs a positive image fast, before FB eats them all together. Maybe this is just another "marketing stunt"?
