MAKE AN EXTRA $2,000 A MONTH WITH THIS SIMPLE STRATEGY

Ok, I thought would contribute some to the forum and let everyone in on a little thing I do to make an extra $2,000 plus, a month.

REAL EASY

All I do is search for local businesses in near by cities. They have to be little restaurants though.

They can't be big name restaurants like Outback. Just little, self-owned restaurants.

See if the restaurant has a website. If not, contact the restaurant and ask them if they want a website and you will do it for them.

I also add email marketing to their website. All you do is offer coupons.

Charge a min. $500 to make the website.

So why little restaurants?

They are so easy to make! All you do is search for a restaurant template online and get it for like $40.

Get a copy of the rest. menu, ask for some brief history, make a contact page and that is it!

I am able to get 3 or 4 of these a month and it takes me maybe 2 hours to do it.

Hope this helps some people out.

Great idea Steve, I have been thinking along those lines myself.
Also another idea is setting up a website for Beauticians, Hairdressers etc possibly a blog maybe, with ideas and tips etc, and add some clickbank products for them on their pages so that they get a commission if anyone buys any digital products, but then charge them for building the website and maybe a hosting fee which will give you a monthly income.

  • One way to show added service is getting their website geo targeted, as well. You could probably charge an extra couple hundred bucks, too.

What you do is contact google. Inform them you want to get your restaurant listed on their map. (If you type in a place and city in google, a google map with listings usually comes up first.) Google will mail a postcard to the address you give them. When the business gets the postcard have them call you. Go pick the postcard up and mail it back to google.

When google recieves it they will list the business with website and phone number on their geo map, and that business is now on the first page of google - usually the first listing - for people performing local searches.

It might be my imagination, but...wasn't this method, and many many other proven offline techniques covered in the "recently departed" cash cow and jobless dad threads?
I'm all for those who take action, congrat's on that ...don't stop now!! There are huge opportunities in marketing to offline businesses.
You can do so much more for restaurants than just sending coupons. Just offer the owners "something of value"

I did not read the cash cow jobless dad threads. I was just stating an EASY offline marketing opportunity that I do.

And I had only agreed to build their websites and integrate an email marketing service.

So TWO things to help their business. Increasing exposure and adding a customer database/ potential cust. database.

I could charge them a monthly price to run advertising campaigns for them but I am not. Nothing against offline marketing but I prefer online.

This is the only offline I do.

Nice idea and one that is fairly easy to replicate. Why not also sign up for a web hosting reseller account and offer the restaurants web hosting services on top of the site creation? You can add an extra $10-20 p.m from each client this way.

I would prob. do that if this was my only source of income. I really do not like doing this but I did a couple restaurants and now I get other rest. calling me all the time wanting me to do theirs.

The offline viral effect caught me by surprise!

Even better is to set up the restaurant to collect emails with every order.

For example, if you set them up with an Aweber account, you could have ever server say "we'll take 10% off your check today if you give us your email address so we can send you news, new menu items, coupons, etc." Say an average check is 50 bucks for a family of 4 (might be higher) that costs about 5 or 6 bucks a lead. Each lead can be sent a special coupon that would save them even more money. Free drink (virtually no cost for soda) or a free alcoholic beverage. Maybe a free entree on their birthday.

There are lots of ideas but the key is to connect with the frequent customers who then make the business successful. Email lists for this could be very valuable to a business if it were ever sold.

    Just some extra ideas.

    Cheers,

Yah nice input. Email marketing is a def. must have here. So cost efficient. I am running to a little problem with the whole coupon thing.

Trying to figure a way to make it where people cannot print off a thousand coupons.

I have expiration dates and state that is is for one time use only.

This is great. You should do a WSO on this and lead people by the hand. Show them step by step how you run this little small side business.

I know it would sell. I would buy it.
