WSO Purchased - Not Received - What would you do?

This is the first time that this has happened to me, but I purchased a WSO about a week ago and haven't received anything yet. I thought I'd give the guy the benefit of the doubt just in case he hasn't been online for a few days.

Admittedly the WSO is 2 weeks old now so perhaps he has forgotten about it and hasn't been online at all.

But if he has been online, even to check his emails, he would see that he has received a payment from Paypal. I have posted in the WSO thread and I have also PMd him and haven't received a reply.

Do I just sit back and wait longer? I guess it is possible he hasn't been online for some reason.

I guess there isn't much more I can do than that anyway. It wasn't an expensive WSO, but that isn't the point. I think if you are running a WSO you need to be there to give the buyers what they buy.

    Open a dispute at paypal.

    In your dispute state that you have not received the product and he has not replied to communication or customer support requests. State that you would either like to receive what you paid for or be refunded for the purchase if the seller does not intend to deliver what you paid for.

    Paypal will give him a chance to resolve the issue and you will have a record of the issue at paypal and if it is not resolved Paypal will give you more options to persue after the publisher has been given ample time to respond.

    Because they are hobbiests looking to make a few extra bucks in the WSO forum and do not know how to automate their business and do not realize how important that is.

    Well it looks like he is around and new this thread was about his WSO as about 5 minutes after I posted this I received an email with the product.

    So - thanks for sending the product, but it really shouldn't take a thread like this to receive a product.

    Unless the poster specifically set a time limit or limited the number of copies of their WSO there is no reason why you shouldn't have received the product straight after payment. Lucky for him he fulfilled the order.

    Good customer service goes a long way and a bad experience can leave a sour taste for a long time.

    Whenever I run a WSO I like to make a separate page to put my "buy now" button and above the button put,

    After your payment has been processed you will need to click on the "return to merchant button".

    Many people will pay and then close the whole page.

    Just thought I would throw that out, helps the automation part.

      Yes I have a few customers that have just closed without returning to the download page. I always look for that link though and it definately wasn't there.

    You're right - it shouldn't have taken 2 weeks or a whole thread for him to deliver the product. Hopefully this thread prompts more people to set up instant delivery systems when selling any info product online.
