With so many different options, I would love some feedback
on the best way you feel to get free traffic to a new YouTube video?

    Hello Cyndi,

Try to add video response to your youtube video and embed your videos and post them to the video directories. Make sure also to share them on FB and twitter.

There are some simple ways of optimizing your youtube video to get it ranked higher on youtube. I am not an expert in this but I know that tagging high traffic, relevant keywords plays a big role in this.

Also I have heard of some people buying views. I know you said free but you can buy 1000 for like 3 bucks on some sites. This is strictly for helping your video appear higher on the page. This is not allowed by youtube but on a small scale I dont think anyone ever gets caught. It is kind of like buying backlinks for a website, technically Google doesn't want you to do this, but it happens all the time.

Here one-- Post your video as a 'video response' to a one that already has a lot of views. Works a treat.

      How good is your video?

The thing that MOST video marketers don't get these days is that the marketing needs to be built in your video.

In other words, don't make a video just for the heck of it. Make it so remarkable that people want to share it.

If you're gonna produce a crappy video and try to get traffic to it, it's gonna be VERY hard.

No doubt that you will end up getting some views, but still, it's not worth it. The quality of your video plays a major role in helping you get traffic.

Anybody can take a few pictures, create a slideshow and upload the video to YouTube. But what makes you different? By doing so, you're competing with a bunch of losers who don't want to deliver value to their viewers.

I could have given you a few traffic generation tips for your new YouTube video, but I wanted to pass on a message that I felt was much more important.

What worked for me was to bookmark and tweet my videos. Bookmarks are a great for videos because you can get backlinks to rise in the serps and you can get targeted traffic to your videos through social sites. Face is a good way too.
Getting views to your video is crucial too. This is a kind of backlink for your video. You can get cheap views on fiverr. Comments are helping too.

Like some others said video responses to the top videos in your niche are a good way to highjack some traffic and get views.
And what works good is to build backlinks to your video. Bulk Forum Profiles or blog commenting is a good thing to rise in the serps and get traffic not only from youtube but from google.

        Cheers
        Mirko

Well, here's what views I've got in 6 months -

    About 25,000 at last count.

Here's how you do it -

    * Post useful, short videos once a week
    * Add friends, leave comments where they add value
    * Connect with bigger tubers in your niche
    * Always ask people to sub
    * Keyword target your video title, description and tags
    * fiverr gigs give a spike then it dies off - waste of time
    * focus on YouTube search traffic - it's easy and free
    * The most good content wins - you don't need "viral" videos

For hundreds more tips, that is what I blog about!

Great Tips, I don't like fiverr gigs also for this kind of stuff, I tried it once and ended with my video deleted for fake traffic (the gig had hundreds of reviews )

Yeah I've never used fiverr for direct yt traffic - I use fiverr for getting the videos tweeted / stumbled then the views back are "natural"

If your Youtube video is related to profitable keyword, you can do SEO (backlining) for it.

Wow Everyone! Thanks for all the tips!

Chris, your videos are amazing, and mine look more like Donald Duck next to yours! **wink***

Creating good content, is key, and as important as ever for us "technically challenged marketers".

I can not make pretty videos, but I can talk some good stuff! Just working on getting them noticed.

Some great input here on getting traffic to our videos!

Hope this thread goes for awhile longer.

      Gotta love the Warriors!
